After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.
I really appreciate Alan Jackson's show at the Germain Arena,
All the greatest hits, very generous with us! Jon Pardi was awesome just before Alan, I just bought his album on iTunes
The concert was fine except for people standing up in front of you when there was no need too as you could see just fine, but if they chose to stand then there should be an allotted place for that or for people with disabilities that pay same amount of money but cannot see the artist nor the tv cameras because they cannot stand all night concessions should also sell all drinks for example water or pop that they will not sell due to being the mix for achohol very unfair as far as I am concerned
It was Amazing ... next time I will get seats closer to the stage. Me and my sister-in-law almost went dancing. Hope everyone would have had a great time as well.
Excellent performance by Alan Jackson and his band. The best of country western!
Alan Jackson was warm, personable and sang so many hits so very well! Loved every minute of it and would highly recommend. The Strayhorns are so great too liked the feature bits.
Alan Jackson's authenticity is so refreshing!! He is true country and it shows in his concerts. There's no 'flashy' background or fireworks - he doesn't need these props. He interacts with the audience in such a comfortable way he feels like a friend. I would highly recommend his show and will definitely see him when he's in our area again.
Allan Jackson is my favorite entertainer, in country. All his songs are hits, except for the unfortunate seating situation (noted below)
We especially lliked the way the videos were playing behind the band. Seeing the young Alan singing along was a very different way of singing the old tunes. We 1st saw Alan play backup to Randy Travis back in 1990 at the PNE in Vancouver, B.C. It took us back to the days when we used to dance to his songs. I also did a lot of walking to his songs . They had such a great beat to them. He sure didn't disappoint. On a couple of songs the base was way too high.but the rest were fine.
A true country artist. Every song he performed was absolutely flawless. His voice is amazing. Alan played songs from his first hit right up to his latest. My fifth concert and just as good as the first one. He doesn't need all the extra fluff that other musicians have on stage such as a big light show, dancers to make a good show. Alan and The Strayhorns can do it on their own!
I've never seen Alan Jackson in concert - and I so enjoyed this one! He was so warm and seemed delighted to spend the evening with us. I loved the video playing behind him of him in his younger years, and in the video he was lip-syncing the songs he was singing on stage. It was so cool! He's a real pro - it was a great evening.
Enjoyable to listen to. The band was top notch. The big screens helped see the stage from a distance.
Concert was awesome, but the show ended to soon - only on stage for 90 minutes. Also, must say he's aging like fine wine ;)
great show when going to see Alan Jackson you do get you're monies worth every time
Simply the best AAA. The last true country singer .
Honestly I was very disappointed in his performance. He sounded great but he was the most boring person to watch. He stood in one spot the whole time. Never tried to get the crowd to dance or anything.. Guess he is getting way to old...
Loved the setlist. A good mix of old and new. He really showed that he appreciated his fans.
He put on a good show playing a lot of his hits, although at an hour and a half I thought he could of played a bit longer. Overall a solid performance.
Awesome concert. Loved the slide show of our hometown when he sang where I come from. Definitely want to see him again!
Alan Jackson was one of my best concerts ever! The night flew by and I was sad that it was over. I could have listened to him for several more hours. The Winnipeg video was a nice touch - great idea! Would see him again in a heartbeat.
