About

After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

  • Not a country fan but...........

by windsor51 on 2009-09-18The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

Alan Jackson was great! He admitted he and his band don't talk too much during the show and mostly are just there to sing and pick a few guitars but he has a wonderful repertoire of songs. His band sounded fantastic and at the end of the show this non-country fan was now an Alan Jackson fan! He even wowed the audience with amazing video footage all the while he sang. Even did a montage of little ole Windsor that had the crowd shouting and applauding very , very loudly. Again , great show.

  • great preformance

From the time he came on till he was finished ; there was a unbelievable energy thru the house . The music was crisp ; and not too" head pounding ". Usually with a lot of loud noise ; the bride complains of a headaches; but not with this preformance .and she's not really an Alan Jackson fan . The only thing bad was it left me wanting more .

  • Alan Jackson..a must see for any country music fan

by ruggs on 2009-09-18The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

The show was unforgettable. He opened with the song Good Time and played between 15-20 of his greatest hits, including It's 5 o'clock somewhere, Don't rock the jukebox, Chattahoochie, Small Town Souhtern man, etc. The show lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes with no pauses between each song. He rarely talked to the audience, as he is a shy guy, but sung many of his greatest hits. I would reccomend this show to any country music fan. EXCELLENT SHOW

by flowerchick on 2009-09-18The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was out of this world, He sings from the heart, and the band was the BEST... Ive ever heard. . Thats what real country is all about, Worth every penny that concert. The lighting and the sound and special effects were so impressive. I have been a fan of Alan since the first time I saw him on a T.V. program when he won , I believer A Star is Born many many years ago. I thought this Guy is going places for Sure.. It was so nice to see every age group in there singing along with his songs, and believe me , I was one of them. I wish I could go to the Friday Night show, Wow was it a good show.

Alan Jackson did a fantastic job - he stated that he had never performed for a small venue like this one - but he didn't seem to mind. A true performer!! Would go again!!

  • Raw Talent , unforgettable

This is the second time I've seen Alan Jackson perform, he is one of the very best country singers of our time by far, every song is recognizeable, and enjoyable to listen to. He performed 25 of his best hits, no break! I would definitely go again. I questioned some of the more senior ladies in the restroom afterwards and they all agreed, they thoroughly enjoyed the show. Thank you Alan for sharing your natural gift with us all.

This was my first time seeing Alan Jackson in concert and I was totally amazed. He played for 1.5 hours. The man is totally awesome. Man can he ever sing. I enjoyed the Thursday night show soo much that I came home and bought tickets to go back for Friday night's show too. P.S. Boy is he ever good looking!!!!

  • Alan Jackson was excellent!

by Rosedale on 2009-09-18The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

Alan Jackson's concert was excellent!! We would see him again in a heart beat!! His concert lasted only 1 hr 15 minutes when staff was telling us the concert was 90 minutes long. He did one encore song only and signed autographs which was nice. We could have used 15 minutes more of his great music! Bad thing we had this guy sitting six seat down from us who left three times during the concert which was a pain for everyone. If you go to a concert stay seated for pete sake!

  • Allan Jackson was great!

by paleface on 2009-09-18The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 4 out of 5

The music and songs terrific!! I expected the show to last longer than 1 1/2 hrs. There was people constantly coming and going which I found annoying.

  • Alan Jackson gave a wonderful performance!!

by Carebear76 on 2009-09-18The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing. There was nothing Alan could of done better! The seating on the other hand was terrible, I was practically sitting on a strangers lap. Very uncomfortable. Could not applaud because I would smack the ladie beside me right in the head. I was in section K row 31 seat 4. I would love to see another event so close to home, but if that means being so uncomfortable, and not enjoying the show as much as I could of. I would rather travel to Toronto or Detroit.

  • Never better

Always great. Just as good as the first time we saw him years ago. So sexy and natural.

  • Amazing Show

Alan Jackson put on an amazing show last night. I was only bummed out about one thing, that he didn't play "it's alright to be a redneck" but when you have 8000 great songs, it's kinda hard to get them all in, :)

  • Great concert

Alan Jackson has been my "fave" for ages. Was glad to finally have a chance to see him live, and was NOT disappointed. We are new to Ontario and it was also our first trip to Caesar's and was very impressed that such a facility is so close to us.
