About

After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

  • Alan Jackson - a true gentleman.

by ajgirl on 2009-09-19The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I attended the Friday night concert. The countdown to Alan was amazing as it always is. The acoustics were terrific and we had seats at about the 10th row. Alan is the best entertainer that I have seen. He sang to each and every person in the audience, he acknowledged Windsor and he seem genuinely happy to be with us all evening. It was nice to get acknowledged as Canadians, as country music fans and some of the crowd has a very nice time singing along with the old favorites. His new songs were equally fun and catered to his real fans. I would recommend Caesars to anyone. I would make sure that if I really enjoyed the performer I would purchase tickets fairly close because the view is phenomenal compared to other venues that I have been to.

  • We loved Alan Jackson!

It was a great show...we had never attended a concert at this venue before. The atmosphere was perfect and the music unforgettable. The only problem was it was not long enough...only 1 hour and 20 minutes, with only one encore.

Alan doesn't have to do anything on stage. His voice speaks for himself. I could listen to him anywhere, anytime. Thanks for being so down to earth Alan!

If you want to be entertained, feel good at the end of a concert go see Alan Jackson. He puts on a very simple performance, but you are there to listen to his music. That is what he delivered. I can understand why he has lasted so long in the music business. He is a very talented and excellent live singer and he knows how to work his audience. I loved his performance and would see him again. Lets not forget the musicians that backed him up. Very talented, they also made the concert extremely enjoyable.

The songs where excellent, the show full of enery and the incorperation of home town pictures as a viedo to one of his songs really got the people jumping. Excellent show well worth going,

This was the first time I have seen Alan Jackson and what a great show it was. The venue was just perfect and the small size of it allowed him to really interact with the audience. Great show with a great set list and an awesome way to spend a Friday evening.

Alan played for 1 1/2 hrs solid, singing all of his wonderful songs that all have some heartfelt meaning to him and is a true performer of his art. We really enjoyed the concert. This is the second time we have seen Alan Jackson in concert and would go again in a minute. Alan just seems so relaxed and laid back and puts everyone at ease with his style of music.

Alan Jackson put on a wonderful show. He mentioned Windsor and Ontario several times and even had one song where he showed videos of different businesses and place in the city which really made it a personal concert for the city of Windsor Great show

  • Alan Jackson was FABULOUS!!

by MissToots on 2009-09-19The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

This is one of the best concerts I have seen. Wish we would have had better seats though - people sitting beside us talked throughout the whole concert & sang at the top of their lungs. Where we were sitted we could not see the videos that were playing on the main stage screen. But, we were there - that was the main thing!!

  • Jackson was Jammin

by MgOwner on 2009-09-19The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 4 out of 5

I thought the concert was very good. Alan Jackson showed why he has been a top country star for so many years. His backup band is also super. The only thing I was disappionted with is that he only played for an hour and fifteen minutes. I think for the price paid he could have scraped out a couple of more songs from the many hits he has. I would recommend his concert to anyone who enjoys country music and I would go see him again anytime.

Alan Jackson has not lost his touch. After 20 years or so in the business, he still has the ability to fire up a crowd. His songs continue to reach into the hearts of his fans. My wife and I enjoyed the show so much that when it ended we were left with wanting more.
