About

After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

Great concert , a little loud in the Terri Clark show the bass drum drown out the vocals, Alan Jackson amazing, overall great concert.

  • Terri Clark - Too Much Bass Drum

    by 2Blondie on 2014-09-20MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

I wouldn't say it was all bad. Hey Romeo & Alan Jackson sounded pretty good. But, Terri Clark...well, I could barely hear her over the Bass Drum and I couldn't even hear the other instruments. It was all about that Bass. I was really disappointed because when the bass was low and it was just her singing, she sounded great. Alan Jackson was good. I'm really glad he sang all the good ones. Just a little too much down time within the songs with all the instrumentals. And the encore, what a waste for everyone in that arena except those in the front row. He only did one song and then signed all those autographs. I watched people get up and leave when he first left. Most of them returned to their seats just in time to watch him do autographs and then left again. I don't know if I would go to another of his concerts again. I went, I saw, I'm good.

  • Alan totally awesome

by TheBuzzurd on 2014-09-20MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Alan was superb. Terri Clark very good. Arena sound man out to lunch. The band especially the drums overpowered Terri's voice for most of her set. Alan's bass player was way too loud or too much reverb. Everytime he plucked a string you could hear a constant buzzing from the speakers. whoever worked the sound board should be fired. But Alan was amazing.

  • Awesome!!! And unforgettable event!!!.

  • Alan Jackson - incredible

First of all, we were not on the floor but we were not in the "nosebleed" section either. Sat just a bit away straight across from the stage halfway up. Got a great view of the stage. Wait times between acts was not terribly long, about 20 minutes from Hey Romeo to Terri Clark and about 30 from Terri to Alan Terri and Alan played hit after hit non-stop. Alan is such a gentleman and really appreciated and thanked the crowd. I loved the screen behind him that played videos of the songs as he sang them. What a great voice he still has. His band was top notch. He sang for about 1 hour and 20 minutes so that was longer than I expected. We travelled from Brandon and was well worth it. Seeing 2 wonderful artists and a third "OK" opening act for only $70 per ticket IMO was a steal of a deal. My only "wish" that did not happen was that Terri Clark be shown on the TV screens as well, that is why gave it 4 stars.

This is the second time my wife and I have seen Alan Jackson at Caesars Windsor. The first time was a great show, but this time was even more enjoyable. Our seats were fantastic, the show was fantastic and Alan Jackson is one of the best entertainers we've ever had the pleasure of seeing. We will certainly be looking forward to purchasing tickets to his next concert at Caesars Windsor in the future.

It was a great concert! Played all my favourites. Concert was just over an hour long ... was expecting it to be a little longer for the price of the tickets. Loved the videos that accompanied the songs. Overall a great concert!

This is the third time that I've seen an Alan Jackson concert and have enjoyed each one. His music and presentation are excellent. The background videos for each song add a special touch. A wonderful evening of music spanning 25 years!

  • good but short

by swcont on 2013-09-11Turning Stone Resort & Casino Event Center - VeronaRating: 3 out of 5

Sounded great and interacted well with the audience. But just over an hour show and one song encore really was not what I expected from a twenty plus year career and over 30 number one hits.

  • by LoveAlanJackson on 2013-05-11Credit Union Place - SummersideRating: 4 out of 5

THe bass was very loud and it vibrated your chest, could have been turned down a bit and one song was a little sharp. Maybe Credit Union Place could let people to there seats before 630 instead of standing in line, especially with people who have a disability.
