About

After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

Alan Jackson concert was terrific. He put on a great show and everything was very well handled. Wish he could have did autographs and photos like High Valley did. High Valley were a great group to have for opening act but should have played longer. Too long between then and Alan.

I love to go to a concert when I recognize all the songs and can sing along with it. Too many times I attended concerts when the artist decided to promote something new and the music was new and unrecognizable. A couple of songs like that is ok, but not the majority of the concert. However, Alan Jackson did not do that. Every song he sang I knew and could sing along. He was SO good....I would return to see him over and over again. Thank you for coming to Summerside PEI...what a treat!

It was a terrific show can't say enough good about him and his performance. However Credit Union Place was not prepared for the turnout of people, the lines were not moving very fast and we were there over a half an hour before the show was to start and missed three quarters of the opening act before we got to our seats. There are some kinks that need to be worked out!!!

The three brothers whom are High Valley started the evening off. Playing a number of songs they proved to be a super opening act ! After a short intermission and a realignment of the stage, Mr. Jackson took the stage to a huge welcome from the fans of PEI !! He played some of the oldies but goodies, a few of his new tunes as well. A wonderful, down-to-earth entertainer who really likes what he does !!

  • Alan Jackson was fantastic as always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show was great. He sang all our favourite songs. We came from Nova Scotia and would come again. He has a great interaction with the audience. Can't wait til he comes to Eastern Canada again. I liked how he told different stories about the songs . This made the show much more personal. He showed great respect for his band and for the audience. Although we were in a huge arena it was like we were in a living room He seems to really appreciate all the fan support . Great show, great seats, great night!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took a long time for Alan Jackson to come out and the opening act was terrible. Once Alan Jackson came out however, the concert itself was great and Alan Jackson's voice is always amazing.
