About

After establishing himself as one of country's biggest stars and consistent hitmakers over two decades, Alan Jackson undertook a labor of love in 2013 and released his first bluegrass album, appropriately dubbed The Bluegrass Album. Despite being somewhat of a niche release, it still reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, a testament to the huge and loyal fanbase Jackson has built over the years. He's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide over the course of his career, topped the country singles chart over 20 times and counts two Grammy Awards among the many statues in his trophy case. Among his best-known hits are "Don't Rock the Jukebox," "Chattahoochee," "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)," A Georgia native, Jackson got his big break when his wife, a flight attendant, spotted country-pop legend Glen Campbell in an airport waiting room and slipped him one of Jackson's demo tapes. That led to a contact with Campbell's publishing company and a move to Nashville for the couple. Jackson released his debut album, "Here in the Real World," in 1990, and his new traditionalist style was an immediate hit, spawning five Top 5 hits. As he developed his catalog of hits, ticket sales for his concerts grew steadily. He continues to tour regularly, consistently drawing huge crowds to arenas.

Super enjoyable concert! Band was excellent. Sound was awesome and of course ALAN was SUPERB!

  • Music was very entertaining !!!

by Polux on 2012-10-07Casino Rama - RamaRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great . A little too short for the price. Another band could have done the opening maybe for a hour or so. But Allan Jackson is one of my favorite in country music.

Excellent concert. Worth every penny. Have had the pleasure of his entertainment previously.

  • Alan Jackson only performed for 1 hour, 20 minutes

by BinnyBoBo on 2012-10-03Casino Rama - RamaRating: 3 out of 5

We love Alan Jackson, and we've just seen him for the second time, this time at Casino Rama. What there was of the concert, was very, very good. But the concert was only 1 hour and 20 minutes, and that included the encore, and autograph signing at the stage. I've noticed that concerts at Rama don't seem to be more than 1 1/2 hours, but when I paid $125 per ticket, I expect more than 1 hour, 20 minutes.

  • Alan Jackson's music was incredible as always, BUT

by Moebee on 2012-10-01Casino Rama - RamaRating: 3 out of 5

Alan Jackson's music was incredible as always, BUT when we paid $239 for two to go to his concert, I would have thought he could have played and sang for more than an hour and twenty minutes. This performer has so many #1 hits that his concert could have lasted 4 to 5 hours. Instead he plays for 80 minutes. That's an insult to his fans and a hell of an hourly rate!!!!

Great show,,,, I was surprised that it was over in 1 1/2 hours I just saw Bruce Springsteen in NY State and for the same ticket price he played for 3 hours and forty minutes non stop....at a very high energy level....and he is 62 ! I guess the Casino wants to get you back gambling and drinking.....as they don't make any money with you just sitting there

  • Amazing show!

    by Smileybug78 on 2012-10-01Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! And he handed out tons of stuff - guitar picks, tees! He even signed a bunch of autographs to fans at the front of the stage, something that is virtually unheard of these days, so it's nice to see that some celebrities are thankful for us, THE FANS, that have made them so successful!

  • Great show

Alan is Alan - not an extravaganza, he lets the music be the show

  • Voice to remember!

by JustyBlond on 2012-10-01Casino Rama - RamaRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was awesome! Background video selection very appropriate to the hits played and fun to watch. If you go to Rama, never book seats in the first 3 rows as you will have people step all over your toes and in your way!

  • AJ at Rama 9/28

This was an excellent show... right from the start with "Gone Country"...to his encore cover of " Gonna buy me a Mercury"...AJ was the epitome of cool...

Alan Jackson at Casino Rama was abolutely UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!! My son and I just had a "GOOD TIME". This entertainer is so personable and really makes you feel like he is asking every fan in the room to be his friend! He is a true southern gentleman who I would go see again, and again and again! It was such a wonderful night my son surprised me with an early birthday present. Guess what it was......YES ALAN JACKSON TICKETS for his second show at Casino Rama!!!! I was THRILLED!

Great concert with great music and atmosphere, the only downfall was that the concert was a little bit too short. :P

  • Alan Jackson was a fantastic show

We had excellent seats and really enjoyed the amazing show that Alan Jackson put on. The two other singers in his band were very good as well. The band was also excellent. My only disappointment was that the show was a little short for the price of the tickets.

Alan Jackson was great. We were 4 of us and we all agreed that it was a great show. Would we return or yes in a flash. He played 1h & 20 min none stop music. Was a bit surprise that there were no CD for sales at the souvenir shop.

  • Allan Jackson at Casino Rama

    by country56 on 2012-09-30Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show as usual, would have liked to hear midnight in montgomery and where where you when the world stopped turning, but with all his number ones, it was still outstanding.

  • by momandme on 2012-09-30Casino Rama - RamaRating: 4 out of 5

Second time we've seen Alan Jackson. Loved every minute of the concert.

  • Show way too short for high ticket prices!

    by Mike1085 on 2012-09-30Casino Rama - RamaRating: 3 out of 5

Alan Jackson is a great talent and we enjoyed the songs. He only performed for 60 minutes! Not long enough for ticket price of $113 x 6 people. Alan should show more respect for the fans that helped him reach his success. For many, this amount of money is hard to come by I'm sure and these fans should get their moneys worth. Other entertainers of the same stature often sing sets of 90 minutes or more and come back out to do an encore set of several songs, not one song as Alan did. A huge disappointment for our group. We just felt cheated. Other fans voicednthe same feelings as they left the concert venue.

  • Breathtaking venue!

Got to see my man again for the 7th time and as always he was awesome. Ultimate Favourite in Country Music and always love to see him in Concert. He doesn't so shows like other country artists like Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood, but he does know how to put on a good show all the same. His music says it all!!!!!... One show you should add to your bucket list. Can't wait to see you next time you are in town Alan!
