    Feel bad for her

by DLCL on 2010-03-21River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

The saddest thing I have seen in many years. I booked the tickets for a valentines gift for my wife who has always been a fan. There appeared to be some lip-synching as there was a lap-top on stage that the drummer turned on and the beat and music started before he got to his drum stool. The voice was enhanced. We were 5th row. Allanah was a skeleton. Was not even sure if it was her that walked on stage. She was barely able to walk let alone hold her tambourine. She sat down, did not look at the crowd until the end of the 2nd song when she set into a diatrabe of bitterness about her finances, record deal, lack of royalites, how she is now estranged rom her family. People around us asked if she was an addict, or dying of cancer or aids... It was too sad to watch. We left during the 3rd song. Someone needs to get her some nutrition and to a hospital.

    Alannah Myles - Awseome

by tcbeddy on 2010-03-21River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

Alannah still has that incredible voice and stage presence despite her health and personal challenges, her songs - timeless. It was great to see different generations in the audience enjoying the concert. Four piece band - BIG sound! Thumbs down to the doctors and people who tried to "help" her on her life journey...Alannah has come back fighting with 100% girl power - can't wait to see her return to Vancouver.

    Alannah Myles

by bebe6 on 2010-03-21River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

God bless her. What an entertainer. Her apperance was shocking. She was not the vibrant person she was30 years ago when i saw her at the Trade and Covention Centre but she had that audience in her hand. What a wonderful spirit, what an amazing voice.

She Still Has the "It' factor

by Wench on 2010-03-21River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

I had seen Alannah Myles years ago at the old Commodore, she was a rocker chick and her energy on stage was amazing. At first sight last night it was a little shocking to see her walk on stage. Like most people around us we wondered why she was doing the slow shuffling in a bent over fashion not looking up at the audiance. As she soon explained, major back problems have plagued her, Did it mean she lost her voice? NO WAY. She was AMAZING. Her vocal range, her bluesy sound, her backup band and her previous recordings like Black Velvet, etc were just as fantastic as years ago. The energy she gave off while singing was contagious, people rushed to the stage to dance or danced in their seats. It's so great to go see an artist where you not only hear the songs that brought you to the venue in the first place, but also look forward to downloading her newest. Would I go again? No doubt about it. Yes Yes Yes.

    Allanah Myles still rocks!

by Kaper on 2010-03-21River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

Despite Allanah's shocking appearance and frailty (she suffered a tragic back injury years ago), her voice is the one we all remember and adore. She rocked the house and her band was fabulous!

    OMG

What in the name of God has happened to Alannah Miles ??? !!! There was some sort of explanation as to why she looked the way she did, but it didn't really fly with me. I was in shock when she stepped onto the stage. And she didn't look up for 90 percent of the concert. I am assuming she is crippled with something. What exactly it is I would love to know the real story. She should put out a book of her life. In regards to her concert - it was one of the only ones in my life where I wanted to get up and walk out after 10 minutes. She still has a pretty voice, but you couldn't hear it because of her overly loud band !!! It was awful. I would never see her again.
