Wow. Sitting on the edge of our seats, literally. The feats performed with the wheel and the rocking apparatus were absolutely incredible. Beautiful, stunning visuals with atmosphere and a fascinating spectrum of strength and flexibility.
Diavolo presented two pieces . They were well executed and definitely captured the audience's attention. The first piece seemed a bit long and repetitive, but the story line was interesting. The second piece was shorter and was my favourite. i personally would have liked to have seen more actual dancing throughout the evening. the acro work was amazing but i felt the promised dance styles never really were highlighted. Overall a great evening of creative choreography, team work and a great show of strength and stamina from the performers.
I was not expecting this amount of continuous movement and flow and flies through the air!! Amazing!
The gymnastics were impressive, the music very unique. Stage sets were used interestingly. Unfortunately, all of this was repetitive and relentless. There was little variety in expression or volume. I would not recommend this performance.
This was honestly one of the greatest live performances I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing! The performers were pure athletisim, power and grace all at once. Their skill and use of the intricate, yet simple props combined with the unique music made for a capitivating story on stage. I would see them again in heartbeat and look forward to their success as a totally new genre of entertainment!
I went to this event not really knowing what to expect and I was very impressed! I am a performer so I tend to set the bar pretty high for these kinds of events and this talented group did not disappoint! This performance was so well designed and thought through. The use of props and lighting was very innovative and the dancers had seamlessly mastered their team work and choreography. I only wish I could watch it again because I think I would see something new every time. If I ever get the opportunity to see this group perform again I wouldn’t wait a second.
Saw Diavalo this week in Edmonton. Great show. Tremendous athletes in constant motion interacting in creative challenging ways with various well-designed structures. Not quite as explosive as the short pieces on AGT but still very dynamic with more texture and story telling.
Diavolo is a wonderful performance combining art and theatre. A joy for the family.
Very disappointing... I left before the first intermission.
