Getting Better as the Years Go By

by pharmerphil on 2011-05-18Ottawa Civic Centre - Ottawa

I have seen Alice Cooper a total of 5 times over the past 25 years and each time I am amazed at how his show gets better and better. Well staged, well choreographed and well executed with clean and clear sound (at least from my perspective within 9 feet of the stage). Without a doubt the energy and talent of his band members was a major contributing factor to the huge success of this performance and lets not forget the stamina that Alice Cooper has. The fact that all the band members appeared to be having a great time onstage was carried and relayed to the audience who were having a great time on the floor and in the stands. I thought it was brilliant how he introduced a new song (the shirt with "new song" written on the back). Best Alice Cooper concert I have seen yet but I sure hope he stays around so I get the opportunity to see him again. While he keeps performing, I will keep showing up.

    Alice didn't disappoint

by burnout on 2011-05-18Ottawa Civic Centre - Ottawa

Enjoyed the show. He's a real pro. I would have liked to hear alot of other songs, but it was an entertaining stage show and the sound was pretty good. It was also comforting to see that he had one guitarist that wasn't just another pretty face. I do prefer to see older more experienced musicians. Also my sons enjoyed it tremendously.

    Awesome!

Anvil destroyed the place! I've seen Anvil... numerous times, this was the first time on a bigger stage thanks to their recent success, and they were as awesome as ever. Way too short of a set, but a killer set none the less. Was my first time seeing Alice Cooper, and he did not disappoint. I'm not a huge Alice fan, but he's a pro, and an amazing front man. He sounded great and his band were top notch. As you would expect going to a Cooper show the theatrics were a big part of it, and it was all done very well... Highlight for me was Feed my Frankenstein.. which included a 15ft tall monster taking over the stage. Sound was really good for this show. I could hear everything very well.

    An event to remember !

by JPtoo on 2009-09-28The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - Mashantucket

I went to the "Theater of Death" show with my 16 years old daughter, who is a real fan of Alice Cooper (!!!). I have known him for over 35 years but had not seen his live act previously. A good show: awesome music, minimal stage setup, humourous "death" scenes. Alice was in great shape and gave an expected great performance. The sound was excellent, loud as we like it, but not distorted like usually at heavy rock/metal shows. The setlist included most of his major hits, but everything was over after 90 minutes...somewhat short considering there was no opening act. The MGM Theater at Foxwoods is a great place, convenient, modern and comfortable, although a little bit strange, the entrance of the theater being inside the casino hall with 1300 slot machines buzzing around...weird. We had excellent seats but there is apparently not a bad seat in the house. We booked our tickets from Canada through the Ticketmaster.ca website and received them within a few days by mail from the USA. All in all, a good show and a funny "father/daughter" activity.

    What a show!

by thejosh64 on 2009-09-20Freedom Hill Amphitheatre - Sterling Heights

When I was first entering, I thought to myself that Alice might be getting to old to put on a decent show. Boy, I was wrong! It was fantastic! The music was great but the show he puts on during the songs are mind-blowing!
