About

With global record sales of over 75 million, Alicia Keys is one of the most successful R&B artists of all time. Her distinctive soulful vocal style and tremendous skill as a pianist have brought her monumental accolades not only in her native America, but also the rest of the world. Born in 1981, she began playing piano at the age of seven and by 11 was writing her own songs. Aged just 20, she catapulted on to the international music scene, where she has been a firm fixture ever since.

Alicia's first studio album, Songs in A Minor, was released in June 2001, debuting at the top of the Billboard charts. Lead single “Fallin'” topped the Billboard charts for six weeks, with subsequent single “A Woman's Worth” making it to the No. 3 spot. The album has since sold over 13 million copies worldwide. November 2003 saw the release of Alicia's second hotly anticipated studio album, the Diary of Alicia Keys, which was certified quadruple platinum. This was followed in 2005 by her outstanding Unplugged album, which not only reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts but sold almost 200,000 in its first week alone. A third studio album followed in 2007, with her fourth studio album, The Element of Freedom. The release of Girl on Fire in June 2013 gave her yet another chart-topping album.

Throughout her immensely successful career, Keys has won numerous awards. The release of Songs in A Minor contributed to her receiving an incredible five Grammys in 2002, for Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Album and Best New Artist. She repeated this success in 2008, with the album As I Am winning awards for Best R&B Song for “No One” and Best Female R&B Vocal performance. In total, Alicia Keys has won an astonishing 14 Grammys. She was also named by Billboard magazine as their R&B artist of the decade for the period 2000 - 2009.

Alicia has performed with many outstanding artists, including Usher, Christina Aguilera and Lenny Kravitz. In 2008 she teamed up with Jack White of The White Stripes to record the theme song for the film Quantum of Solace. This track, Another Way To Die, was the first duet to feature in Bond soundtrack history. She also dueted with Jay Z on the 2009 track Empire State of Mind, which reached No. 1.

    Wow

    by Paul M on 2023-09-28

One of the best concerts I’ve ever attended, and I’ve been to at least 40-50. Alicia cares about the music. Evidenced when she started to tear up while singing. She’s mega talented with the piano and on the mic. Will definitely be going again when she’s back in Toronto.

    full of energy

    by Paul/Janique on 2023-08-04

Overall Great show overall. She has lots of energy and passion. There was a string of slower songs that felt like a lull in the performance but she picked it back up and ended with as much Punch as she started with. Great time for sure

Alicia Keys Unlocked A Night Of Summer Fun!

    by C. C. on 2023-07-26

Showed up at the July 14, 2023 show at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena expecting an intimate performance, but was really blown away on how exciting and fun the show became to be. Alicia sang most of her big hits including those she was featured on while also taking a few deep cuts and covers with her to perform for us. Thanks to the 360 stage she engaged with every audience member and kept the crowd highly motivated to dance and sing along, while providing an amazing light show including pyro thanks to the unique stage design. Although this tour isn’t as long as her other ones, she still brought a spectacle of a show that I was so glad to witness in person and I highly anticipate her next arrival in Toronto to see how she’ll be able to enchant us again with her spectacular singing voice along with her expert piano playing, which shows why her name isn’t Keys for nothing!

    Wonderful evening out !!

    by Nukka on 2023-07-21

Great concert. Alicia worked hard to please with both new and older music. She sang, danced and played the piano. Great sets too. Only real challenge is the poor sound in the Scotia Bank arena.

    Alicia Key concert -TORONTO

    by REBS on 2023-07-19

CONCERT was amazing, Alicia Key herself gave a high energy performance. She sang a lot her greatest hits! Love her energy! Opening act could of been better and longer. As the opening act didn't really catch the audience. And the wait time from the opening finishing to Alicia coming on was easy to long! Other than that great concert from Alicia Key !
