    Fabulous!

    by fgh5thgvgfd54 on 2017-10-05Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

We traveled to Nashville just to see Alison Krauss and we were not disappointed. The Ryman is an historic and intimate concert venue; and her voice in that room was a dream come true! The set was a mix of new songs from Windy City, older material spanning her career and three songs from the O Brother Where Art Though soundtrack. Her set was about 1h 45m long while David Gray was on Stage for 1.5 hours. We weren't familiar with David Gray before the show, but very much enjoyed his music and performance.

Can't get enough of Alison Krauss

by FraserB on 2017-10-04Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

She is a excellent singer and her voice is unlike anyone else in country music. She makes every song sound great. Her band is wonderful as well as it was a combination of some Union Station players, the Cox Family and some others. Seeing her at the Ryman Auditorium was excellent as the Ryman has wonderful acoustics and is the mother church of country music and the Grand Ole Opry. Then Alison Krauss singing in a phone booth would be wonderful as well. Just the combination of Alison at the Ryman made the trip necessary. Wasn't a fan of the opening act because all the songs sounded the same, except his one hit that he played at the end and which I recognized.
