    Cozy place for a show

by Sylvia L. on 2022-05-23Le Studio TD - Montréal

I love that we didn’t have to stand up to watch Donovan Woods, it wouldn’t been appropriate considering this was an intimate show, where Donevan interacts with his public (and what a great performance that was). Will do it again. Thank-you Mr Woods.

Loved the major attraction, not the opening act

by Colleen on 2022-05-22National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I hadn't realized that the concert's first three-quarters of an hour would feature Madi Diaz, whose singing I enjoyed in her lower vocal range but to whose songs I didn't relate. However, the audience was receptive and appreciative. When Donovan Woods was on stage, either with his band or solo, the audience was live with heads nodding in sync and applauding loudly. I love the whispery intimacy of his voice!

    Great show

by folklove on 2022-05-22Le Studio TD - Montréal

Both the opening act, Madi Diaz and the wonderfully entertaining Donovan Woods were excellent. Two fine performers in a great setting. So happy to see a concert with SEATING, which makes for a comfortable concert experience and bucks the trend to the standing only concerts! Some of us older concert lovers were delighted.

    Best show ever

From the first part to the end of the show, everything was awesome. The sound, the band and of course the signer!

An incredible talent, an excellent performance

by Steve on 2022-05-20National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Donovan Woods is an incredibly talented singer and songwriter, weaving his personal stories into melodies that evoked our own experiences and emotions. This performance was outstanding. It was intimate and engaging. Some of his songs even left us teary-eyed. Donovan is self-effacing and genuine, an authentic Canadian.

Come for the banter, stay for the music!

by MegF. on 2022-05-20National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Donny Woo does not dissapoint. It's a roller coaster of emotion from the moment he hits the stage to his final song! His songs elicit memories of past loves, missed loves, great loves and everything inbetween. And then he hits you with the most sincere and funny banter between songs! The only downfall were some of his fans shouting out requests. Donovan is not playing at a dive bar for tips on a piano. Show some respect for this extremely talented Canadian singer-song writer!

    Great Venue and great concert

by Martin on 2022-05-16Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Donovan was as usual a supreme entertainer. Not only his music touches everyone with impressively crafted lyrics, excellent interpretations and his band sounding better than ever. He is an on-stage presence to be admired. The way he connect with the audience and makes the concert experience yet even more meaningful with lots of humor in between songs dealing with not so humorous topics (loss, death, unconditional love, betrayal, existential sadness) Loved the venue as well, the Burton Cummings is really a jewel in Winnipeg!
