Absolutely loved the show! Amazing performance by the band with an awesome setlist!
Iâve seen Alkaline Trio a few times now and I love how they always play a good mix of old and new songs. Even though they released an album late last year this wasnât just a new album show. Love them! Canât wait to see them again in Toronto! I hope they donât wait too long to return.
Alkaline Trio had a good setlist and played well, but their openers were boring. Thus they get 3 stars. To people seeing them on this tour I would say you're missing nothing by attending at least 1 hour and 30 mins late, cause then you'll miss the openers.
My husband and I had such a wonderful time at this show. The bands were really great and high energy. This was also our first time ever at History and it is a really nice venue. I'd recommend both the venue and seeing Worriers, Drug Church, and/or Alkaline Trio live!!!
Have seen this band play three or four times and always do a great job!
This was my 3rd time seeing the trio and they did not disappoint. Touring in support of their new album "This Addiction", I suprised when they only played 3 or 4 songs off it. Their set list was a great mix of songs from all their previous studio albums. I was pretty stoked to hear songs like "Continental" and "97", which I had never seen live before and are straight up kickass songs. I'd definitel recommend checking out the trio if they snake their way into your town.
The venue filled quickly for an early concert â the doors opened at 5:30pm. The Alkaline Trioâs fans were not phased by the matinee status and showed up to the sold out show ready to go hard; 6 inch Mohawks, backwards white hats, tattoos and blazers converging in their Alkaline Trio fanship. Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano traded vocals throughout the set as they ripped through tracks from their seven LPs. Skiba was an exceptional frontman in non-genre-subscribing attire. He came out with his tattoo sleeves contrasted by a Ralph Lauren polo shirt, cool kid glasses, and a poorboy hat. He shed his hat and glasses within the first two tracks as his inner rock-star seemed conflicted with his accessible looks. Older fans looking for Skibaâs signature shirt and tie live performance dress-code could find solace in his classic eyeliner. The band played a great high energy set showing ample love to their older tracks as well as a few newer tracks from This Addiction. The crowd gave the band much love in different forms â mosh pits, index fingers in the air, and singalongs. The Trio reciprocated with sweat, wine consumption, banter and great renditions of This Addiction, Crawl, Sadie, Mr. Chainsaw and Radio.
Once again for the 6th time I have see them the Alkaline Trio rocked the house down. A much younger crowd obviously unfamiliar with older material was a bit of a let-down but once again the boys did not disappoint.!
Great set list, good mix of old and new. Loved it!
The Show was amazing! Its always great to see the Alkaline Trio play live again! Ive seen them play LIVE 3 times now! Every time has been great! I forsure recommend seeing them play LIVE!!!! I will forsure be seeing them again, when they come back to Canada!! The Alkaline Trio is AMAZING LIVE!!! Ive see them before at the sound academy and at the kool haus, which were both amazing shows.... The Phoenix Concert Theatre kind of sucks... there is minimal parking, the place is really small, and the shows are always way to early in the evening, and the drinks at the bar are over priced! I will not be going to any more shows at The Phoenix Concert Theatre.
