    Annual Christmas tradition

by KC238 on 2019-12-07Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

This was Andy Kim’s 15th annual show and it was our 5th time! It’s our Christmas tradition and Andy never disappoints. Each year he brings in acts that are a blast from the past and introduces us to new artists. This year the show was so much fun. We will be there next year!!

    Great Entertaining Show

by River56 on 2017-07-02Woodbine Concert Hall - Etobicoke

First time I've seen Andy Kim. His list of hits is as impressive as his delivery. He still has the star quality in his voice and look. He noted he was coming up on 50 years in the business which was very impressive. He talked a bit between songs which provided some interesting in site. The videos of his 1960's thru the 80's days were a nice touch. The back up band was tight and looked like they were having a good time along with the audience. He sang a few new songs which were excellent both in sound and writing.

    A true professional

by airview on 2017-04-11Casino Rama Resort - Rama

.I have seen many many shows over my life time and have always been a fan of Andy Kim but never having the opportunity to see him perform. I found this to be one on the top of my list of favorites. He paced the show very well with both the older hits and his latest release. His voice. in my opinion. is as good as it was in the sixties and the band was top notch. He deserves to be around for many more years to come. I would recommend his show to anyone.

    Master Showman, value for money

by Lucio on 2017-01-18Queen Elizabeth theatre - Toronto

Andy Kim can only be described as an underrated super performer. Always backed by a fantastic band, Andy easily puts on one of the best shows today. Old and new songs bring us from past to present in style. Worth seeing whenever you can and I've noticed that his prices for concert tickets are also very reasonable. He also is available for autographs and very pleasant to fans.

    Merry Christmas to All!

by Outroupistache on 2013-12-14Virgin Mobile Mod Club - Toronto

This was my first time attending the Andy Kim Christmas show and it certainly did not disappoint. The setting of the Mod Club was perfect - intimate with great acoustics. The performers were wonderful!! I loved how engaged they were and everyone was so supportive of CAMH, the charity in which proceeds from the show were donated. Andy Kim curated a fantastic mix of talent that made us proud to be Canadian :). The highlight of the night, and also of my life, was the impromptu Broken Social Scene reunion which occurred on stage. Overall it was a great show and I will most definitely be attending in the years to come.

    Another Amazing Concert

by PDMG on 2012-12-17The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Once again - another amazing evening! Every year I look forward to this concert - and every year it gets better and better than the previous. It is SO great when you have a bunch of amazing artists leave their egos at the door and clearly enjoy themselves as much as the audience.

    Great Show in previous years!

by Diavoletta on 2012-12-15The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

I feel I have to admit that this year's Andy Kim Christmas Show was rather disappointing! After experiencing such a great energy of professional talent and even flow of entertainment from last year's show, I found this venue really disorganized. There was excessive talking on stage filling up unnecessary gaps between sets and most of the bands were a snore. Therefore, loosing the audience's attention resulting in much white noise of chatter amongst the crowd resulting in myself and partner leaving the concert. On a positive note: Andy Kim is a 'star' entertainer whom always provides a professional presence and rocks the show!! May I suggest that there be more headlining performers and a tighter flow at next years event? Last year he had guest appearances by Honeymoon Sweet and Finger 11. Perhaps: Trooper, Loverboy, Goddo, Diemonds, Ginger St.James,etc. There is a roster of great Canadian talent that would love to be part of this wonderful event. Must be kicked up a notch by having more upbeat entertainer's, not the 'Lilith' parade!!

Great music but audio &show flow could be improved

by musicianyyz on 2012-12-15The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

The talent was outstanding, and the cause very important.. House band was Awesome, especially drums and bass. Jen Benton killed on Bass. The venue isn't right for this type of gig.. Phoenix is great for a mid sized concert hall, but the vocal audio of announcers sounds like a bad wedding in a church basement on a $100 PA. The music was great but there were long gaps between changes and the audio was Horrible when people were speaking. Andy & Kevin sounded garbled and volume was too low when they were speaking between sets... The crowd noise was deafening during this time.. Mod Club was a Much better venue .. That rant complete.. The music was fabulous again this year.. These talented musicians give their time for a great cause and they make fabulous music.

    Andy Kim Christmas show

by Billsrockin on 2010-12-17Mod Club Theatre - Toronto

I have to say I am a bit underwhelmed by this event. Not sure what I was expecting, but I felt like an outsider at an Andy Kim birthday party - you're happy for the guy, but you miss the point of all the inside jokes. The music was good, especially Platinum Blonde and Ron Sexsmith, but Alex Lifeson's prodigious guitar skills were lost in the mix of all the other folks on stage. And sorry, but watching someone milk his 40+ yr old hits was more suited to the gray-haired members of the audience than myself. Hopefully a good portion of the $75 I blew on two tickets will go to needy children in Regent Park

    ANDY KIM CHRISTMAS SHOW 2010

by GMacD on 2010-12-17Mod Club Theatre - Toronto

This yearly event seems to get better with age. A sold out Mod Club, a great cause, excellent musicians. Even the new Mayor of Toronto showed up for the party. Certainly a must see in 2011 and for those unable to buy tickets this year, get them early next year!
