Angelique Kidjo Tickets

She draws you in with her fiery performance and awesome voice -your attention is as a moth to a bright light..the audience in rapt attention for nearly 2 hours. Very tight 4piece band backing her - drums, percussion, bass & guitar - but they sounded like an 8 piece. Woven in between the tunes were many stories of Africa and social justice- these were almost as entertaining as the music. Angelique is also a social activist which I appreciate, however some people may be turned off if they are expecting just a musical performance. There was no warm up act.

A high energy show put on by one of the world's amazing female singers. Ms Kidgo has a great voice but more than that, she was there to entertain and entertain she did, with her stories and talented team of musicians. She sang some of her best known songs and also some of Africa's most loved tracks - Miriam Makeba's famous song and Malaika from East Africa. She got everyone dancing. Lots of fun.

An energetic and charismatic performer. Infectious and fun. Guaranteed to have a good time even if you don't know her music.

Angelique Kidjo honored her audience by giving it all: her empowering unique voice, African dancing moves, humor, candor and beliefs. She is a generous artist even sharing the spotlight with the audience who in return enjoys participating in the "most of the time" fiesta atmosphere. She equally shares her philosophy and position in the world, therefore adding to the show some serious and heartfelt moments... definitively a memorable evening.

A warm, intelligent woman with a voice that can gently rustle the leaves on a tree or travel for miles! Her combination of relaxed conversation with the audience, amazing dancing, and her wonderful, alive, powerful, passionate voice was extremely moving. Her rapport with the band was beautiful.

Angelique puts on a great show! She has amazing energy, a great voice and is an inspiring soul who shares her love of life with her audience. You will leave her concert with a smile on your face.
