    Thrash metal at its finest.

by Slayer Swimmer on 2022-08-26History - Toronto

It was a great night, Hatebreed riled up the crowd, got the mosh pit going, BLS brought their classic talent to the stage and Anthrax finished us off. They still have the energy they had years ago. Great venue too, security, servers, everyone was awesome. Great to see active cleaning going on in the bathrooms during the show.

    Metal Thrashin' MAD!

by English Tony on 2022-08-26History - Toronto

I first saw Anthrax in 1993 in the UK. Since then I've seen them another eight times, and they've never let me down! Energy, exuberance and sheer metal madness of a band tgat has lasted 40 years and counting. 10/10, would get caught in that mosh again.

    Got my ass kicked

by Griff on 2022-08-26History - Toronto

One of the best shows ive ever been to in one of the best sounding venues ive ever visited. Was right up at the front with the put right behind me and i got my ass kicked from both sides and my ears blown out by the music. I loved it. Anthrax was incredible, zakk wylde and black label society were fuckin wicked and Hatebreed was awesome, they know how to get a crowd going.

    Earplugs

    by B. M. on 2022-04-22

Just wanted to tell everyone when attending shows after not being at one in a long time can strain the ears and ruin the show for you. I learned that placing earplugs in your ears will drown out the excess treble and noise from the equipment and it improves the sound tremendously. I learned this at Judas Priest Firepower, I had attended the show the night before at a distance and had 3rd row for the next night and my buddy brought us earplugs and I laughed at him but we are both musicians and I knew they would help with the sound. It’s not drowning out the music at all. Like I said it just makes the sound a lot better! Worse case you take them out or don’t put them in as far. It’s worth the try dudes! Anthrax and BLS!!!! Woooohoooo it’ll be my first time seeing BLS but I’m an Anthrax addict. Their last album For All Kings is INCREDIBLE! Joey sings like a champ and the riffs are heavy chunky bastards that’ll kick your nuts off! Can’t wait!!!! Frank is one of the BEST metal bass players to ever step foot on a stage the guy is an animal! All you guys who got to see KILLTHRAX you are all really lucky dudes!!!!!

    Haven't left deaf in years

by chiefkewj on 2018-03-02Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Wicked good show, all 3 bands got the crowd going, even the duet with Jesse and Joey. All 3 bands brought their sound and left going home basically without hearing lol ...worth it!

    AMONG THE BEST!

by Nuncio on 2018-02-26Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Anthrax is simply one of the best enduring live bands coming out of the best era for metal music. Don't attend their concerts based on recommendations like mine, do it because you already know they are among the best! Killswitch Engage was very good, but Adam Dutkiewicz (guitarist) steals the show with his funny antics that surprisingly never interfere with his playing. If you like metalcore, this is one of the best acts out there. Havok was an stupendous opening act with their raw-back-to-roots thrash metal. Somehow reminded me of early Sacrifice, or Exodus. They do NOT disappoint.

    Lots of energy. Nice fans.

by Wyrmbait on 2017-05-06The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I had never heard of Killswitch Engage before.... And they were great. Could have headlined their own show. Anthrax was solid and played a lot of old stuff, which i appreciated as an oldtimer. Both bands tons of energy. It is better too see live than listen at home. Go see them on their next tour.

Great concert. The sound quality was not that good though- it was two loud so the good moments of the songs were blurred most of the time.

Old School Metal Still Very Strong

    by Machine70 on 2012-10-06Métropolis - Montreal

Amazingly these guys can rock the house like the old day's, if not better! I was mainly there for Death Angel, I haven't seen them since the Act III tour....very good but too short of a set...6 songs only, their great and I'm glad their still recording, love it. Testament was good, amazing set list, sound was way too loud! Nice to see Alex and Greg back in the line up and live, Glen is awesome, he was very tight and professional, Erik is great as usual, nice to see him doing a few leads, Chuck was Chuck, he loves it, loves the crowd and he knows he's grateful doing what he does best. Anthrax was not as good as I expected, but still interesting to watch, nice set list but I think they should concentrate their efforts on stage and not get pissed off at the crowd between every song because there sitting down. Paying to be sitting down and not being in the mosh pit is our choice, don't stop playing and respect our choice please. Also, where was Charlie Benante? the backup drummer was great but he was overkilling the songs with unnecessary drum fills, the songs didn't have the same feel. Overall, great show, great crowd, sound was average and too loud, and I had earplugs, imagine, nice t-shirts, bought 2. Testament should make nicer t-shirts and guys (all 3 bands)...! think of the ladies, you have nothing for them!.....see ya next time. M.

anthrax was great!! testament ruled the night!!!

by metaltrain on 2012-10-06metropolis montreal - montreal quebec

may just be because testament is one of my favorite bands, but they were the best out of a great line up..had a choice of seeing them at the danforth music hall in t.o. or the right decision i went to the metropolis in montreal. that venue rocks was there twice before for down and motorhead.they serve drinks right in the mosh pit how cool is that?! death angel totally blew me away, then testament took over . third time i saw them live and it was the best yet. chuck billy and the boys are the premium metal band of all times.thank you chuck for the photo opp. after the show.anthrax although i thought shouldnt have been the headliner was very impressive. the sound was great. the security staff was exellent. they let the crowd enjoy the show. no probs in the pit or for crowd surfers.the venue is close to all downtown hotels. take a train and make a weekend out of it. you wont be dissappointed..im already looking for the next metal show in montreal.that town knows how to party.

    Testament was the best

by TimothyS on 2012-10-04The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Honestly Testament should have headlined, just phenomenal while anthrax was OK. The mixing could have been better, vocals were too low in the mix. Death Angel was really cool too, the drummer was just amazing, spot on.
