Is was nice to hear a band that sounds just like the Albums. There not to old to play good music.
i loved it. it sounded just like you would hear it when it first came out on record
They were ready to close it up WITHIN an hour of starting!! No hits played....I would NOT go again, very disappointing for the price we paid!
This was a concert we were expecting to be able to sing along with every song. It was our era. We had never heard the first few songs they played. April Wine didn't play their biggest hits and their excuse was that there was no keyboard. If you can't play your big hits don't play. Since then I have heard several great songs of theirs on the radio. We didn't hear those songs at the concert. Thank goodness I brought ear plugs! I guess their age is showing thru. Deaf from years of performing. Unfortunately, our friends weren't so lucky.
Great show! Great sound! Glad that I didn't miss this one.
Great Show. Great April Wine tunes. Sound man should have retired before he went deaf. Not too loud, just to loud for gear being used. Overall I was impressed.
I really wasn't sure what to expect as the band members are up there in age. They can still rock & hit the notes. I was actually extemely impressed. Outstanding performance.
Saw April Wine Edmonton1980, was the first concert I ever went to.It was totally wicked starting with DING! DING! DING! DING! (Oooowhatanight). I grew up with their songs and it was really cool to see them in Vancouver 19 years later (this year). They are a bit older and not as full of P&V as they used to be, but we are still exactly the same (haha). Yay, I got the guitar pick!
Excellent show, Miles Goodwin and co continue to fill the house and deliver the roots of Canadian Hard Rock the way it was meant to be heard. Never a disapointing show.
With all of the awesome hits April Wine had over the years, I would have expected them to play them all (not songs by the Beatles and Rolling Stones).
The concert venue was good and we had a good time. I thought for the money we would have had them play for more than a hour.
Loved this concert!!...Just would have liked to have heard more of their older stuff...didn't know much of what they played.
I was really looking forward to this concert but sadly it was worst concert I've ever been to. They played way too loud. I had to plug my ears to actually hear the song. April Wine had a distinct sound and they ruined that by playing the songs hard and loud.
We all love the old April Wine music but this concert was so over the top loud it was almost unbearable. It was incredibly distorted....................It was a MESS. This theatre needs a new sound man!
only concert in 25 years i regretting going to. very few hits played - april wine decided to jam more than play their own music. very disappointing - the boys still have it. just didn't share it with us.
The April Wine concert was great! good sound, great venue. The only thing that i didn't like was they played a lot of really old songs and not a lot of there recognizable hits.
Saw these guys a few times years ago and they were bang on...but now...hmmm??? They should concentrate more on the classics that everyone wants to sing. Third song in and Miles went into a long guitar solo. I think if they stuck to the radio hits it would have a been a much better concert. Wardrobe and stage could have used some work as well.
It was great--I forgot how many hits they have. They sound just like they used to!!
If you know & like April Wine music, then it was pretty decent show. My husband likes the band and the show was more for him. Throughout the evening, I counted no more than seven songs in total that I knew and the ones that I did not know were pretty good, but it didn't impress me enough to run out to buy the CD. They are not AC/DC or Aeorsmith, but they are still rocking pretty cool.
