Missed the opening band. Sound wasn't that great, vocals were muddy. Crowd wasn't that into it, I've seen better shows at EEC. AE was the best of the night.

DevilDriver rocked as usual. Arch Enemy was awesom

by Chowmane on 2011-09-22Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

I thought the show was awesome. This was the first time for me to see Arch Enemy and I thought it kicked ass. She knows how to scream and kick some ass the crowd was amazed and mesmorized by Arch Enemy. Devildriver is one of my fav bands and the crowd was crazy for them. It was sure hard to stay in second row once Devildriver started. I will see Dez play anytime, I'll sceam in a corner with him anyday! \m/.. I think Edmonton loves them.

    1st Arch Enemy show

by MetalDec on 2011-09-16The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

This was my 1st time seeing most of the band, (saw Devildriver at Heavy T.O) and also 1st time at The Phoenix. Needless to say it was a really good show, lots of energy and it was non stop. Arch Enemy was amazing as I thought they would be, Now every time They come to T.O, like Megadeth, I'll go see them.

    Great show!

by Toykykid on 2011-09-16Métropolis - Montreal

Skeletonwitch were better than originally anticipated! Devildriver sounded awesome but there set seemed short compared to other venues. They were apprently were slated for 16songs but it was cut to 10. :( Arch Enemy... well are Arch Enemy! I very happy they did come back to North America! Set list was great and solo's were amazing!

    good show

    by Marc123 on 2011-09-16Métropolis - Montreal

The show was great ,this band always deliver a good energy and provided a good set list It sad that there were not many people (second balcony not open) maybe it was more suit to club soda type of place . The sound was good but i saw them enough itme to said that it was not the best sound i've heard from them ;at some occasion it took me several second to recognized the tune they were playing. But overall as Angela Gossow mention on twitter that even if promoter want to canceled the event, montreal fan deliver the good and i got some pain in my neck. (lol) great show by opening act also ,everybody was tight ,a preference for devildriver however.

    Arch Enemy Destroyed!

by slangove on 2010-02-07Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

While the opening acts suffered from some bad sound, Arch Enemy was near flawless. Arsis was great but had sound problems early on, I would like to see them again in the future. Exodus was disappointing, I would never see them again on purpose, boring and very cheesy crowd interaction " you guys are the craziest" ect. On the other hand Arch Enemy played an excellent show with the great sound I have come to expect at the Commodore. Every aspect of their show was spot on and reeked of professionalism. Lights, sound, and stage performance were great. Angela Gossow is a devastating vocalist, and yet has that touch of femininity that brings a rare bit of sexy to the metal scene. I would easily place this band in the top 5 performances I have ever seen and I have seen dozens of bands over the last 12 years. If you are a guitar person this band will blow your mind, truly a guitar driven band. Bottom line, go see them when ever you get the chance. Even non-metal people, my girlfriend included, are, and will be amazed by the power and talent of this band.

    Was it good? Meh...

by momojoboo on 2010-02-04Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

Only went to see Exodus. Missed Mutiny Within, so I can't comment on that. Arsis wasn't too bad, remind me of Kreator. Exodus was next. I waited 22 or so years to see these guys, and was I ever disappointed. The sound was terrible, and being the fan that I am, even I couldn't tell what song they were playing half of the time. Didn't stay for the entire Arch Enemy show, but they sounded good and gave a good performance. If you are a fan of Arch Enemy, go see them, Exodus, not so much.

ARCH ENEMY W/ EXODUS, ARSIS & MUTINY WITHIN

by NecroAxeman on 2010-02-04Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

This show overall was fantastic!! Exodus was amazing, and delivered the crushing thrash metal attack that only they could bring! Somehow the rafters held together for Arch Enemy, who then proceeded to blow the roof off the place. Arsis and Mutiny within were very good as well however plagued by sub standard sound, which was not fault of the bands I might add. The bands were great, music was great and well played, the one and only drawback to this show was the same as always with EEC, the stage is placed in the Wrong location. It dose not utilize the length of the room for optimum sound, as well as the pillars in everyone's way. Unfortunately, only renovations would correct that. The bands however still slayed despite the layout!

Mutiny Within started off the night fairly well. Ive never really heard them before so i didn't quite know what to expect. I'm not a big metalcore fan so it wasn't for me, they also really over did the sweep arpeggios in my opinion. Then came Arsis, pretty solid set list they played some of my favorites like "we are the nightmare" and "the face of my innocence", which was great. But I somehow felt that having Ryan Knight gone out of the band there was somewhat of lesser taste in the solos done by the new guitarist, if that makes any sense. Exodus!! They blew my mind! First time ever seeing them in concert and I can tell you it wont be the last. They really put energy into the crowd, everybody just erupted! Very tight performance as well. They played classics to like "Piranha" and a "lesson in violence" which was just amazing. There was even a gigantic wall of death when they closed with "piranha". Now Arch Enemy. Again extremely talented musicians and it showed. The Amott brothers guitar harmonies were just fantastic. Also a drum solo which fit very well in the set, and wasn't extremely long" cough, cough" (Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy). Angela Gossow again proved she is one of the top vocalists in the melodic death metal scene. She got the crowd going and never let up. Really great! One of the best concerts I've been to, and I've been to quite a few.

    Arch Enemy threw down!

by ASTRstx on 2010-02-03MacEwan Hall - Calgary

This was the third time I had seen them live and it was by far the best show they have done in Calgary yet. Arch Enemy have certainly stepped it up for their current tour. Best show I have seen in a long time.

After the opening acts it looked like this show might be a wash out. Mutiny Within sounded pretty good, Arsis was too loose for my taste, I think they need a new drummer. Exodus had a half descent set with horrible sound, all you could hear was distorted bass drums and some some more bass thrown over that. Then Arch Enemy came out and all of that was irrelevant. Unbelievable. They were excellent. The sound was good, the band was tight and they put on one hell of a show. Arch Enemy truly rocks!

    Arch Enemy slays

by MasterFidget on 2010-02-03MacEwan Hall - Calgary

This is the second time I've seen Arch Enemy and they were on their game this time. The song check was perfect and every song sounded crystal clear. Angela's vocals were incredible. Arch Enemy was great last time they played, but this time they were just on a whole new level. Great set list and just a mind blowing show over all.

    Do NOT miss this show.....

by Igby on 2010-01-28The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Honestly we went to see Exodus and Arch Enemy, not really the two other bands. Exodus were amazing. If you're a fan of theirs, you won't be disappointed. But surprisingly, quite a bit of the crowd left before Arch Enemy even came on. All I can say to them, you really missed out on an amazing band/show. They played what you wanted to hear, plus a couple others you didn't expect. Anytime they come back to Toronto, whether it's headlining or opening for another band, we will be there to see Arch Enemy no matter what. Simply put, they sadly blew Exodus away. Hurts me to say that, but it was true. Choice of songs, sound quality, they had it all. I could go on and on here, Arch Enemy were that good.
