ARMIN VAN BUUREN IN CONCERT:
EDM fans have spoken, and veteran Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren is their king. As one of the most popular trance DJs in the world, Van Buuren has topped DJ Magazine's fan poll a record five times, virtually dominating dance music with his unprecedented run at the top of the list from 2007-2010. Following the 2013 release of his fifth album Intense, Van Buuren is once again entrancing fans around the world with his prismatic live shows on the 2014 Armen Only: Intense tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Armin Van Buuren began DJing while at university, eventually putting his law degree on hold to pursue music full time. He made his first UK chart appearance at just 19 with "Blue Fear," climbing the charts again several years later with "Communication." By 2001, Van Buuren's marathon sets had earned him a spot on DJ Magazine's Top-100 list, setting the stage for the launch of his hugely popular State of Trance radio show. While his skills as a producer were highlighted on his 2003 full-length debut 76, it was 2008's Imagine that really broke the mold — the album peaked at No. 1 in the Netherlands, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.

What makes Armin stand out among the other DJ's is his performance, he makes the atmosphere great. And the people that go out to see him are usually way more chill than most other events. Glen Morrison also had a brilliant set.
Awesome show, awsome venue! Was a great night all around, my only complaint is that the show had to be on a wednesday night, would have prefered a weekend show. Armin is so cute and great to watch!

Here's the scenario: -15 outside, doors suppose to be opened at 8pm. Standing in line since 7:15 and door don't open until 8:35. Freezing my butt off! Glenn Morrison did his thing and he's pretty good although I didn't expect to wait nearly 3 hours to see Armin Van Buuren. It was 11:45 when Armin finally appeared! This was a work night, money was all spent, beers all drank long before we even got to see Armin. Caught a little of his act and had to go by 12:30. Didn't even hear him speak one word. Disappointed and if I did go to another of his gigs, I guess I'd show up at 11 instead of 7. In my mind it was a gig for Glenn not Armin. They should really bring him on earlier. Even main stream bands and singers are on stage by 9 or 10 at the latest.
Armin Van Buuren set the pace at midnight when he came on stage and wowed the crowd at Flames Central. His video choreography is stunning, and his stage mechanics are top shelf...but his stage prescence leaves some room for improvement. He needs more stage interaction as opposed to just jumping up and down or pointing to the heavens, or making a heart out of his hands...
