ARMIN VAN BUUREN IN CONCERT:
EDM fans have spoken, and veteran Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren is their king. As one of the most popular trance DJs in the world, Van Buuren has topped DJ Magazine's fan poll a record five times, virtually dominating dance music with his unprecedented run at the top of the list from 2007-2010. Following the 2013 release of his fifth album Intense, Van Buuren is once again entrancing fans around the world with his prismatic live shows on the 2014 Armen Only: Intense tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Armin Van Buuren began DJing while at university, eventually putting his law degree on hold to pursue music full time. He made his first UK chart appearance at just 19 with "Blue Fear," climbing the charts again several years later with "Communication." By 2001, Van Buuren's marathon sets had earned him a spot on DJ Magazine's Top-100 list, setting the stage for the launch of his hugely popular State of Trance radio show. While his skills as a producer were highlighted on his 2003 full-length debut 76, it was 2008's Imagine that really broke the mold — the album peaked at No. 1 in the Netherlands, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.

Armin one upped tesito! The people at the event were awesome everyone so so friendly! Armin had everyone pumped all night, theres a reason he is number 1! Hope he comes again I want tickets already!
The show was great! The opening DJ brought out the classic trance hits and then Armin followed up with a more Electro-y modern style trance. The lasers, lights, and giant screen all made for an exciting, unforgettable experience! This guy is definitely the best for a reason.
Armin ripped it up, great event, great sound effects, and amazing music!!

it was an amazing performance everything was great , exept for drinks the prices were absolutely thru the roof 6.75 for a can of beer that is simply retarded other then that great event but drinks unafordable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Armin was awesome. Played all his best songs, and always engaged with the crowd. There was never a boring moment.
The event was sick! It opened up with a local DJ who was just okay, but then it had Blake Jarrell who was pretty decent but nothing crazy on mixing his sets. He used a lot of drops to transit from songs. BUT ARMINS SET WAS JUST INSANE!!! When he came on stage, the entire event turned night and day difference. The light show was just spectacular. Armin's set was awesome. He began it with a remix of Coming home and some awesome mixes from some artists along with some singles from Mirage album. He really performed well, and had lots of crowd interaction. I can't believe this was not sold out, maybe Armin has had a bad rep in Calgary from other events/venues - but if you were there - no doubt you'd agree he is #1 for a reason. ARMIN VAN BUUREN IS A MUST SEE. Look at the set list for a ROUGH (not exact!) setlist. Encore with In and out with love
Got there around 11 wasn't sure who was on stage. Didn't even recognize he was on until one. Very boring the crowd was hardly into it. Teisto was way better the crowd was going wild. Just left like something was missing. I probably wouldn't go see him again.
Armin and his performance was amassing , but very poor organized event. There was no control on the crowd, most of the kids under de drogs and alcohol influence, even twice I was asked if I want to buy drugs , some guys got almost naked , lots of them whit no T-shirts on them.Lots of smoking tigarets and weed right in the crowd. So for many people going to a trance event is not about the music is more to get drunk and high.Any way this was my last time and more other guys I met there to attend to concerts like this.
My first time seeing Armin. He was good. Only disappointment was the rave was only 5 hours.
Armin Van Buuren never dissapoints! This venue was absolutely fantastic!
It was fabulous. It was so good because he played a 2 hour set - unlike other performers that are on for an hour and leave. He was really good and I would recommend seeing him! SOOO GOOD
Totally enjoyed the intimate setting of the Edmonton Event Center and the VIP area for Armin van Buren and Glen Morrison. Great crowd and energy in the building. Glen was totally awesome and it was electrifying when Armin started. Wish Edmonton had this event more often!
The Good Thing were: - great sound - nice venue - really long concert - starts at 9 and keeps going - I left at 1 am The Bad Things: - I had no idea that you needed ID to get in. I had to go back home and I was an hour late for the concert. - Armin doesn't come out until a few hours later. Some other DJs are playing first. - People pushing each other. - Marijuana smells - Somebody asked me if I wanted drugs - The same sounds get boring after a few hours
I am 23 now and have been listening to Armin since I was 15. I've been to so many of his venues and have yet to be disappointed.
His mixes were awesome, he pumped up the crowd and it was a great concert!
As always Armin put on an AWESOME show! His opener Glen Morrison got the crowd pumped as well.
Armin was definitely the highlight of the night. He is polished and knows how to entertain.
Overall the concert itself was just unbelievable. A couple of negative parts were I did not see any Merchandise for sale, and door opening was half an hour late. But, this concert was by far one of the best.
