    Brand: Raunchy and Insightful!

by feelingsupersonic on 2013-08-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Going into this show as a big fan of Russell I was hoping I wouldn't leave disappointed and I definitely didn't. Russell's show of all new material revolves around him finding some strange humorous way of relating himself to his heroes (Che, Malcom X, Jesus, and Ghandi) He comes across as highly intelligent and a great entertainer. It is easy to see why he is regarded as a womanizer as he oozes sexuality in all that he does. I laughed, and laughed and didn't stop smiling throughout the show (The front row seat might have had something to do with that as well) While the show at times may be considered raunchy and explicit, knowing Brand, what else would you expect?! The show was fantastic and I cannot WAIT to have another opportunity to see him.

    Russell Brand - Delivers!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Russell's witty, egotistical and hilarious Messiah- Complex show!

Russell Brand is a Cheeky Monkey!

by stormy1 on 2013-08-26National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Russell is very well spoken when he chooses to be and also exhibits his interest in the world and his thinking outside the box in relation to his comedy which I find extremely refreshing. He's quite adorable besides! The only issue I had with his performance was when he got excessively graphic with his sexual references which could have been kept short or less graphic. Other than that, he was highly amusing!

This was a great show for anyone who enjoys raunchy and off the cuff humour. Russell Brand is a natural at making people laugh and did an incredible job of relating to his Idols..

I didn't ever think I could laugh so hard and at the same time gain some insight that changed my opinion about celebrity,no matter how great a person is we are still all flawed we are human. Great show even tho he came on late, maybe held in traffic knowing Calgary.

by GrandFromage on 2013-08-26National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Thought provoking...intelligent...extremely well written...and yes at times filthy, but Russell B can turn on a dime, and make it either a gem or a pile of pooh. Amazing show...

    LOVE Russell Brand

by Jezebel2001 on 2013-08-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

If you aren't familiar with Russell Brand, you may find his humour a big crass and shocking. He is a very intelligent man and very funny and insightful. The show was great and well worth the money. We've seen him at the Jubilee once before and I will go anytime he is in Calgary.

    A pleasant surprise!

by Sly88 on 2013-08-26National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Firstly, I didn't even know that he did stand up comedy, so I went more for curiosity but definitely because I always thought he had an odd sense of humour which I liked. I was pleasantly surprised with the show. He managed to give his views on many issues the world faces and twist it with humour. Very well done! I could have done without the last 5 minutes though.

    Russell Brand Hilarious

by Gibler on 2013-08-26Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Russell Brand's performance could not have come at a better time for me. He had myself, husband and friends laughing all evening. He just did not stop. The fact that he went out into the audience was wonderful, not many would do that. Would I go see him again? No need to ask I would go again hands down. Best performance I have seen in awhile.

    Russell Brand was Brilliant!!!

by Quax on 2013-08-26Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Russell Brand had excellent stage presence, played to entire audience. His material was witty, hilarious and very thought provoking. Although he is British, he infused some Canadian content to keep show relevant. There was never a dull moment, and he was able to string all of the content together, and it flowed brilliantly. I loved every moment of it, and would definitely see him again!!!

Made me smile but not laugh. Was not a comedy show but rather a more inspirational speech. Just not what I expected.

    Brand KILLED it!

by xtcdoll on 2013-08-26Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Absolutely brilliant. Haven't laughed that hard in a really long time. Loved the intelligent humour, mixed with a little self-deprecation. Brand definitely killed it in Toronto. Can't wait for his return!
