Pan Am Volleyball Tickets

While the event itself (i.e. the volleyball game) was ok, the experience was ruined by such terrible planning and execution of Pan Am organizers and ticket distributor. The tickets purchased appeared on Ticketmaster with assigned rows/seats. However, when I received my hardcopy tickets in the mail, they were only valid for block admission. What boggles me is that there are actual rows and seat numbers on the bleachers at the venue - why not use them? Also, the usher who was there to check the tickets of those entering each section was not doing his job at all. He just let people in without even checking if they were in the right place. When we got to our assigned block (E1-A), there were no seats available. Despite this, the volunteer proceeded to direct us to go up the bleachers and to "find seats". We came back down and told him that there are no seats available. And all he said was: "You can go and find seats at a different section". This was very frustrating especially considering the hoops I had to jump to get these tickets. He pointed us to the section with lower value seats. Naturally, I refused to go unless they refund the difference. He insisted that I leave. We asked if we can sit on the steps and he told us no. Now this would have been fine if he had told everyone the same thing. When I turned around, even the steps were now fully occupied by new rush of people that arrived . Several spectators who couldn't get seats were now very angry and frustrated as well. One of the spectators left to look for a supervisor/manger to handle the issue. A lady then came - the "manager" - and told us: "This section is full and you have to leave this area immediately. Please find seats elsewhere". The usher rudely commented "That one right there (i.e. me) refuses to leave". The manager turned to me and insisted that I leave because I was "blocking people's view". First off, I was standing where the usher would be standing - if that is blocking people's view, then why do you have your usher stand there all night? I told her "Why are you telling me to leave? Are you sure everyone in this section right now is supposed to be here?". No answer. So I said "This guy (usher) didn't even bother checking people's tickets! So what, you oversold tickets for this event and now since I can't find a seat, then too bad I must leave?! If you want me to leave, get me someone who will refund my ticket and I'll gladly leave." And her response was "This is not PanAm's problem, this is Ticketmaster's fault". Seriously? What kind of response is that? Regardless of whose fault it is, assist me and don't be arrogant and rude. Terrible customer service!!! Unbelievably rude and unhelpful!!!

When I went to the the seating, there was no room. The lady usher was not helpful in as siting me in finding a seat. However, she took the time to find others a seat, except for me. She told me to sit wherever you want. Can you believe that. Working for Pan Am! So, I just left to another Pan Am event.

Game was incredible, very fast paced. I have watch plenty of volleyball over the years and Canada and Argentina were well matched. Disappointed that Canada did not pull it out very close. Very happy to see the improvements with the Cuban Team over the last 6 weeks.

We were so impressed with everything Toronto did to make the Pan Am games a success. We travelled by TTC and never had a problem. It was extremely clean, convent and quick. The information volunteers were everywhere and were helpful friendly and well trained. At the site we were again impressed with the venue and the entertainment that was offered to the public. The game was great to see. The only thing that would have made the game better was to have our team win! Congrats Toronto for putting on great games. You thought about everything and it showed.

The venue was great in the sense that we were very close to the action. But the event was about 5 hours long, so on one hand, good value for your money, but on the other hand, a very long time to sit on metal bleachers. The volleyball was excellent. Very entertaining and i high level of skill!

An exceptionally exciting game. Brazil was down 2-0 and came back to win the match 3-2. Lots of long rallies and great crowd participarion.

The athleticism shown by all of the women was humbling! I'm a former high level vball player and I was amazed at how far the game had become

We just came from two amazing baseball games where the non-Canadian fans were really having fun and enjoying the game. So we thought this should be fun too, with a Canadian team playing. However, the ushers were no help in getting us to our seats, and the fans were too docile. On top of these, the Canadian team played poorly. In Gen Admission seating situation, I think the ushers should help people find seats, especially in "Sold Out" events, after all we all paid for a seat. This was a really bad experience!!!

Amazing night watching an Amazing Team come from behind to win 3 out 5 to advance to the Semi-finals. Way to go Canada.

Took the family to see Men's Canada vs USA volleyball. Two adults and 3 teens who are avid volleyball players. Had an awesome view of the action and was truly amazed at both teams. All sets had amazing plays to watch and action right down to the last set and last point. Would recommend arriving early for seating as filled up quickly and bring a small pillow to sit on as seats were hard to sit on for such a long game.

More organized than the other PanAm games that I been to. Still wished that a specific seat was assigned to us as there were others who saved seats for imaginary spectators. All in all it was a great evening.

It was a great experience. Everyone should go. Seating was not the most comfortable as no backs and seat where not actually assigned. You could see very well. The game was close, had great seats.

Pan Am in Toronto has been amazing! Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

Very great game the Argentina team was stronger!! All in all our Canadian team try their best, they are in it for the bronzes I hope they get it.....,..........................

Good seats for this one of a kind venue. Good value.

Account for everyone having a seat and do not over sell, we had to move to a different section because there were no seats in our section. Game was great!

The competition is intense and I am really enjoy the game

Very fast pacing game. I cannot even take my eyes off as soon as the ball start rolling. Players from different countries are awesome, it seems that their life depend on it!
