It was difficult to hear the piano above the orchestra. I understood that the pieces e were composed that way. But we really wanted to hear Daniele play the piano!
A great concert with a theme throughout. The wonderful pianist Daniel Vnukowski enchanted us playing two superb piano and orchestra pieces. Symphony in C followed played by a virtuoso orchestra. The performance was enriched by a pre concert (talk by a musicologist and music chamber performance), an intermission Q&A with Daniel, and a host who graciously introduced the theme and each piece. A very delightful night at the symphony! The program will be repeated this Saturday!
