About

Coast City Country is a Canadian country music festival in Vancouver, British Columbia that launched in 2024. The inaugural lineup featured headliners Luke Bryan, Nickelback and Dierks Bentley as well as rising country music stars such as Bailey Zimmerman, Brett Young, Walker Hayes and Elle King. The two-day main event was held on April 19 and 20 at Vancouver’s downtown multi-purpose stadium BC Place on the north side of False Creek. Along with an on-site craft beer and whiskey festival, outdoor BBQ smokehouse and parties and installations throughout Vancouver over the weekend, Coast City Country was complemented by late-night programming at the historic Commodore Ballroom between April 18 and 20 with performances by Kameron Marlowe, Travis Denning, The War and Treaty and more.

    Overall a very good weekend

by This Is Kelly on 2024-05-12BC Place - Vancouver

Overall this was a really good first Festival weekend. The set times were spot on with no delays. The lineup was great. Security did a great job from what I could see. A few issues to think about for next time if there is one: - Accessing the outdoor stage and going back and forth was not ideal. Lining up and security checks to go between caused a delay and not easy to catch everyone with the overlapping of artists. Possibly have a tunnel that only goes from indoors to the outdoor stage so checks ar not needed as you cannot enter from any other way. Possibly having the outdoor stage times to be before any indoor artists start so you can catch everyone - Merchandise, it ran out quickly on the Friday and not much to choose from on the Saturday. I felt bad for the people that only had tickets for the Saturday. - Possibly so sort of consumption check or cut off. I saw many (mostly females) passing out or needing medical attention from drinking too much. Not sure how that can be regulated though. - I would suggest offering 1 or 2 day tickets right from the get go. I purchased the 2 day pass as soon as they were released but found out when they released the 1 day tickets that it was cheaper to purchase 2 single day tickets Fantastic job for all the "Roadies"getting the equipment in and out so quickly allowing the artists to start on time. I look forward to next year

    Had a great time, but…

by April on 2024-05-07BC Place - Vancouver

We had a great time at Coast City Country. The music was great and it had a fun atmosphere, but had a few negative experiences. It felt there was some inconsistencies, such as walking in one direction to the outdoor venue you didn’t get checked by security. They didn’t check tickets at the outdoor venues and many people were not paying customers. The lineups for drinks inside and outside of the venue were insane. The fact that they asked everyone for two pieces of ID each time they bought a drink meant very slow lines. This could easily be alleviated by requiring a 19+ wristband but only asking for ID from people who appear under 19. The open top cups made a huge mess, I had multiple drinks spilled on me, and my friend had an entire beer accidentally dumped on her head. I purchased a soda and the lid was removed, which was inconvenient, then when I returned to the stage floor, I was not allowed to bring my soda in the container they sold it to me in. I was told I needed it in the plastic open cup, but they weren’t able to provide me with one. It made no sense. We also found it a little sad that there weren’t really places you could sit down while on the floor. It’s a hard floor and our feet did hurt after a few hours. We found that there was not time to go between the two stages. The time it would take to get a re-entry wrist band, go through the massive crowds, and then get back inside shortly after as to not miss the main acts, made it unrealistic, which was too bad as we like to support smaller acts as well as the big names. Unfortunately we weren’t able to find any merch areas. It would be nice to have one closer to the floor area. We felt the lineup was amazing, and would definitely return for another Coast City in the future!

    It was good but...

    Great first year!

by Kae on 2024-04-25BC Place - Vancouver

My only feedback was regarding the line up to get the wristband for in/out privileges. The logistics didn't make sense to go in to the venue to only wait in a fairly long line up again to get a wristband to be able to go out. It should have been given upon entry.

    Excellant two days

by Backward Bob on 2024-04-24BC Place - Vancouver

Nothing bad to say ,everything went well. Was wondering for a moment if I had the right venue for the festival. It almost looked like I missed the memo and there was a Daisy Duke audition there as well. All good.

    Such an amazing experience

by Miah Aya on 2024-04-24BC Place - Vancouver

Great artists, great energy, lines were busy but nothing unmanageable or uncommon for a bc place event. Staff were friendly + helpful, ticket upgrade option was amazing. Overall 10/10 Could’ve been more enjoyable (personally) as an outdoor event, but I enjoyed every second regarless

This was probably the best concert I've ever been to, amazing artists, and so sweet you get to see so many at one time. I hope they do this every year!!
