About

Avril Lavigne is a multi-platinum singer-songwriter from Ontario, Canada. At just seventeen, she blazed a trail as one of the foremost voices of the pop-punk explosion of the early 2000s — thanks in large part to her 2002 smash debut album Let Go. Featuring Top 10 singles like “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi” and “I’m With You,” the album went on to sell more than 16 million copies worldwide. Since then, Lavigne has gone on to release No. 1 albums like 2004’s Under My Skin and 2007’s The Best Damn Thing as well as 2011’s Goodbye Lullaby, 2013’s Avril Lavigne and 2019’s Head Above Water. In 2022, the eight-time Grammy nominee and bonafide princess of pop-punk helped herald the genre’s resurgence with her seventh studio album Love Sux

took my daughter (11) for her first concert, she loved it...although language from Even could have been more PG considering I saw lots of 4,5,&6yr old kids...Avril was awesome though!

The energy of the concert was poor. Avril did not act like she wanted to be there. Several time she left the stage and we we left in silence, wondering if she was coming back. I actually thought she might be drunk.

To many opening acts and they were way to long. Waited way to long for Avril Lavigne to come on stage and when she finally came out it was very short. I don't think she put a lot into her concert, it was nothing special. I bought the tickets as a surprise for my daughters 10th birthday, she did enjoy herself but was not impressed with the wait.

Sound system...not good.....if you compare the quality of the show to my recent Katy Perry experience....it was like Avrils show was the minor league...sad because she has a very good voice and is a talented song writer......

With 3 acts performing before Avril took the stage I was pleasantly surprised that the stage crew was as efficient as they were getting the equipment off for one group so the next could get on quickly. Nice to go to a show where the headliner put more effort into the songs than in wardrobe changes.

Avril was awesome, except she didn't go onstage for 2 hours after the start time.

Avril's last album was her best thus far. It included mature, well written, well produced works of depth and variety. The song Goodbye Lullaby made me cry when I first heard it. I love this album and give it 5 stars. Unfortunatley she didn't bring this extensiveness to the stage on Monday, even though she's talented enough to do it. Some songs were excellent - Alice, Girlfriend and the two she did on acoustic guitar, however I would have liked to have seen her play some of her piano songs and some of the other deeper ones from Goodbye - Everybody Hurts, Darlin, Remember When. She also reduced the number of songs she did to 17 from the 24 or so she did in South America, which was disappointing. The concert also started way too late - 9:30, considering 80% of the crowd is in the 10-13 age group. This was my 12 year old daughter's first concert and she liked it. The concert had 3 bands play before Avril, which is too many. I would see Avril live again, but I am much more looking forward to getting her next album release.

I was a huge Avril fan back in those days. Now that she's older, she doesn't appear to have the same spunk. Was not impressed with her concert.

I definitely recommend people to listen Avril on-live. It was fantastic, better than listening CD. But it was a little bit too long for waiting Avril to show up. We stood up for one and half an hour to listen some other bands, although one of them was good (the new cities was good!!!).

This has been the only show I have -ever- walked out on. Concerts are concerts - but this doesn't even pass, unfortunately. I've been a long time fan of Avril, since Let Go was released when I was about 10, like most young girls I absolutely ate it up, but this show was one of the biggest let downs I've ever paid money for. She didn't get on stage until something like 10 pm, where most people arrive at 7:30 and in the meantime, the crowd was put through three opening bands, the first two which made my ears bleed with their awkwardly heartfelt songs and off-tuned guitars and the last of which I can honestly say performed better then herself. There was zero energy put into this show, zero soul and nothing that I was hoping for. She spent a good amount of time talking to the crowd, which was a cool thing, but played Sk8er Boy at the very beginning. No build up - and if she was called out for an encore, it wasn't for her most popular song; but then again I walked and gave my shirt to a homeless guy, which was a pretty good end to an otherwise poor night. Now, I'm aware her music is targeted to a younger age group then my own - I know. But seriously? That childish, frustraiting upturned questioning pitch to her voice was straight up juvenile, along with the fact she chose to wear a guitar she had no idea how to play. And I do mean no idea - she was sort of hitting the thing and holding it by the neck. So, if nothing else, congratulations Avril Lavigne, for clothing the homeless and disapointing yet another fan whose grown up with what used to be good music. What an utter waste of money. :(

  • Fun time...

I have seen her in concert twice now and both times she has lots of energry and you can tell she really does sing. Would like to see more connection with the crowd, but it was a fun time.
