The top-selling boy band of all time is back together in their original lineup, and there’s no better way to make the announcement than a reference to their 1997 hit: “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).” After a six-year hiatus, Kevin Richardson returned to the Backstreet Boys in 2012, officially reuniting the iconic boy band for a new album and tour. The result, 2013’s In A World Like This, marked the band’s 20th anniversary and featured the boys’ signature harmonies on tracks like “Breathe” and lead single “In A World Like This.” On tour in 2013, the Backstreet Boys have been thrilling nostalgic fans with performances of their greatest hits including “Quit Playing Games With My Heart” and “I Want It That Way.” Ticket buyers rave about their tightly-choreographed live performances while looking forward to another 20 years with Backstreet.
I went to my fourth Backstreet Boys concert last night here in Calgary at The Pengrowth Saddledome, and it was an amazing show. The band played all of their old favorites, and incorporated some of their new material in between. A great night for 'boy bands' and all their fans. I can't wait until they come back on their next tour!!
This show was brilliant! I have been to 3 Backstreet Boys concerts and this one tops them all! They were all so energized and excited to be back in Calgary! I swear they love us because they just keep coming back! This show was unforgettable, it was the ultimate Backstreet Boys experience!!
The guys looked and sounded fabulous! Every song they perfomed, from the old to the new, took me to a different place :)
This was a fantastic show. I've really enjoyed BSB since I was a kid and to finally see them in concert was fabulous! They are an amazing act and had a great mix of new and old songs. It just wouldn't have been the same without some of their old ones in there!
the show was a little short. the guys were very energetic and delivered great talents. however i enjoyed the unbreakable tour better, there was more of a personal touch to it. And i didnt like that they didnt have a band this time, just the one DJ. the bsb entrance was very good, i love the creativity. i was still an awesome show.
concert started late and ended with only one encore. The real concert didn't start till after 9:15pm and the guest performances were split into two with a 15 min in between and then a very long wait till after 9:15. Can't bands and singers start their concerts on time without any guest performances? Or, let people know well in advance when the actual performance will begin so we can decide what time we should arrive. I look for quality rather than quantity:
The Backstreet Boys were awesome as always.. High stamina and energy. although i liked the unbreakable tour better as it has more persnal feeling to it.
1/3 capcaity poor acoustics waste of money screaming irls dont have a clue they are sreaming about guys approaching 40
The Backstreet Boys concert was AMAZING! They sung all their hit songs, which brought me back to when I was a teenager! It was great to see the boys again singing and dancing!
I have seen the boys during the Never Gone tour, and this one was just as good if not better! They have not lost IT with age! I went with my roomate and it was her first time, she has wanted to see them since a little girl and he LOVED every moment, as did I. I can't call myself a die hard BSB fan as she can but I had a blast and they played lots of oldies, making it enjoyable for everyone in the audience
I think that the BSB is a very fun concert. They did a lot of their older stuff that I think everyone liked the most. An event for all ages and it was really, really, really hot!
BACKSTREETS BACK ALRIGHT!! it was an awesome concert! they def. put on a great show!! everytime they come they get better and hotter !!
The boys were incredible they gave such a wonderful performance !!!!!!!! They absolutely blew you away i can't wait till the next time they come back
Was amazed with Dan and Shawn - what a way to start a great concert. Loved the movie clips with the BSB - can't believe they have been around for 17 years!!!! Totally loved the entire concert!
The 'Boys' never disappoint, they were great, nothing outrageous, just amazing voices and performance just like every time the come here. Wish it was longer, I could listen to them all night long.
I went to the concert with my teenage daughters and sister. It has been awhile since being at a concert with the age group that attended the concert. The BSB's were good but not great. The synchronicity of their performances were poor in my opinion and it didn't seem to me that they hadn't ironed out the wrinkles in the dances. I enjoyed hearing their songs from their past. Dan Talevski was really terrible and Shawn Desmond certainly has more shine to his performance than Dan.
I thought it was great the songs of course amazing i love singing the old and the new stuff its great that the boys who when i was younger made me weak in the knees can still have the same effect 17 years later ;) BRoks son introducing them again this year is always a treat he is the most adorable cute lil guy EVER!! BSB for life keep the great music coming boys i will continue to attend your concerts for many years to come <3
Last night the show was amazing and I like all the guys were back. They've been famous for the last 17 years. Aug 6 was the best day for them to come to perform in Vancouver. I like Aug 6 because every year this day have event. My favorite songs from their performance was "I want it that way" and "Shape of my heart". Too bad that Kevin left the band. I think Aaron Carter should replace him because he and Nick is brother should work well for the music band. I hope next time they come again next year or 2012. Thank you for the Backstreet Boys came to do shows this year. I look forward to see them next time. I have been a fan fo more than 10 years. This was my fifh time came to see them at the show.
It was good seeing the "boys" again, but I was dissapointed that there was no video screen to see them clearly and that the music was pre-recorded-NO BAND! Some of the background vocals were pre-recorded, too, though they did sing most of the time. They showed short films starring each of them in famous Hollywood roles that were good but could have been better if we could havwe heard them more clearly.The dance numbers were fun and overall it was a good concert that seemed to please the fans, but I think if you are going to charge that kind of money, you should provide a more sophisticated show.
Not that I was expecting any less b/c the BSB always entertain, but this was a GREAT event...spectacular even. The first opening act, Dan Talevski, was enjoyable and had a few catchy tunes. Shawn Desman was OUTSTANDING as the second opening act...a definate surprise that really had the crowd going. And of course, the main event was everything I wanted and more...a huge emphasis on all your favorites, with only a few songs from the latest album, the Boys put on yet another unforgettable show. Talk about taking me back to being 16. Thanks to all for a great night!
