About

Your expectations for a tribute to the reggae rock and ska punk band Sublime -- known for their unique sound and fusion of styles -- are about to be exceeded. Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime performs with the same level of energy and passion as the original band itself, nailing every riff and interlude while conveying the distinctive charisma of the late Bradley Nowell's -- Sublime's original lead singer -- voice. Drawing from Sublime's extensive catalog, Badfish makes expert use of up-tempo beats, reggae influences, Latin rhythms, and harmonic vocals -- everything that made Sublime what they were.

The original Sublime formed in 1988 and were together for just over six years before Nowell passed away in 1996. The group released three studio albums, with the 1996 self-titled album hitting No. 13 on the Billboard 200. That album has since gone multi-platinum and features well-known songs like "What I Got" and "Santeria."

Badfish formed in 2001 by students from the University of Rhode Island committed to spreading the musical gospel of Sublime, but didn't take its current form until 2003 when co-founders Marc Daubert (drums) and Scott Begin (guitar) recruited Joel Hanks (bass). To date, they have recorded three EPs of original material and numerous live albums.

Since then, the band has solidified itself as the country's premier Sublime tribute ensemble, continuing to sell out theaters across the nation and crafting a tribute to Sublime that even Nowell would be proud of.

The band plays over 130 shows a year, bringing their unique and energetic live show to thousands of fans of all ages. The diversity of their audience is a testament to the enduring nature of Sublime's music and message. When they play, people come together in celebration and love.

They've spared no expense in putting together the most high-energy show possible, managing to get former members of the original band to perform with them at various points during the past decade-plus of touring. With a heavy set list of Sublime's music, this high-octane band will keep you laughing and singing along throughout the night with your friends and fellow fans alike.

Their powerful and energetic performances are delivered with an unrivaled authenticity that can only come from this group of friends who grew up together playing music. No other tribute band has created such a buzz in the national touring circuit while retaining its original members since its inception. They remain committed to delivering amazing shows and giving fans what they want.

And as far as tribute bands go? Well, we don't know if there's anyone who does it better than Badfish.
