Lovely to see Barbra on stage. She was just full of fun and down to earth. So cool to see her son on stage and singing for his first time. Lovely video of Barbra and her son and her life! Her sister was on stage singing too. The young Italian trio was nice too! The stage set up was perfect with the orchestra on both sides of the stage and a lighted path of a figure 8 for Barbra to walk on around the orchestra.
She was the reason everyone should listen to music.
The show was well done and enjoyable for the entire family (8years to 70 years old).
This was my second time seeing Barbra live in concert, having seen her Timeless Concert back in 2000, and she is just as amazing now as she was then. While I was unable to attend the concert when I was in NYC earlier in October, because of the speed at which the tickets (not surprisingly) sold out, I was excited when I found out that she would be playing a show in Vancouver and that I was able to get tickets. Barbra was amazing and the other singers (her sister Roslyn Kind, her son Jason Gould and the musical group Il Volo) and musicians (including Chris Botti) that she had performing with her were wonderful too. Part way in she had a lovely tribute to her long time friend and composer Marvin Hamlisch who passed away only a few months before her concert tour began. One of the more lighthearted moments was the "ask Barbra" section where she answered questions submitted by the audience including "what was it like to date Pierre Trudeau" and "when will you run for President of the United States" . I am not sure if Barbra will be doing any more tours but if she is I highly recommend seeing her live.
Flew from Vancouver for the show in Hollywood. The night was cool which was a shame because the venue was spectacular. Streisand is a classy lady and with an amazing story to tell. Exceptional singer and a some terrific arrangements. Memorable and a fulfilment of a long standing bucket list item. Worth every penny.
I have wanted to see Barbra Streisand live since I was 10 years old so this was a dream come true and one that I never thought would happen. The show was fantastic from beginning to end - my only complaint was it was over far too soon - the almost 3 hour concert just flew by. The old clips of her and the stories just added to the show - it really was a treat to see them and she was just so easy going and warm with her audience - you felt like you were in her living room. She is such an amazing talent and the show was so classy - even at 70 she still has "it" and her voice is still incredible - in my opinion she is the best female singer ever recorded. She's definitely in a league of her own and I would go back and see her again in a heartbeat. I've seen many concerts over the years but this one was definitely the best - it's been 2 weeks since the concert and I'm still on a high from the experience. Only wish my Mom was still here to share the experience with my sister and best friend, but I'm sure she was there in spirit! Thank you so much Barbra!!!!
Seeing Barbara live was a dream come true. She is the most incredible singer, her voice and words gives me goosebumps. For years...I mean years I have listen and sang along to every song she recorded and to just be in the same room as her was almost for my hart to handle. You looked and sounded great Barbara...Thanks for coming to Vancouver and making my dream come true!
I bougth her album years ago and her cd last year. What a voice! What a talent! What a show! I purchased these tickets for my wife's birthday. Not only was this a big hit with my wife; but as we were leaving the venue I never heard a negative word about the performance other than it was a shame that she didn't do this sooner. Apparently Brabra wanted people sitting closer to the stage so we move from level 3 to level 1. It felt like we could almost reach out and touch her. WOW!!! I'd go and see her again and again so if you get the chance then I strongly suggest you get tickets. WOW! By the way her son and her sister have great voices too.
I waited a lifetime for this and never thought it possible. Bless her for going on tour again and deciding to come to Vancouver. It's an evening I'll never forget.
Streisand was on my bucket list as she has so much talent. The concert was awesome!!! Definitely a 10!!!
From the moment she stepped on stage, until the moment she steeped off, I was in awe!
I am going to copy the word the reviewer from the Vancouver Province used in his review. I loved this show. I felt it was very intimate. I loved how Barbra did not have an opening act, but involved the other performers throughout the show to give her voice a rest. I loved "Lost Inside of You" with Chris Botti on the trumpet. I was surprised at how well her son song. Her voice is as smooth as butter still, with about 3 hoarse moments hitting the same note each time, but she continued on like a pro. She is funny, too.
Fantastic! Fabulous! More than expected! This book-ended 30 years of marriage, as we danced to Evergreen at our wedding.
Amazing performer with a voice that is a gift!!! An evening with family that I will remember forever! Thank you Barbra!!
The show was absolutely amazing, wonderful (made me cry several times), simplistic (no electronic stages like madonna's - yuk) and very, very enjoyable. I'd go to see her again in a heart beat. :)
Barbra was amazing, classy and still has her amazing voice! Her concert made me feel like I was right there with her in her home, very chique, very classy, very warm and unforgetable performance. Once in a life time, so very glad to have been a part of her concert!
I was expecting a lot considering it was Barbra Streisand, who I think is one of the best female singers of all time and did I get what I expected? - I GOT MORE! She is talented, funny!! personable and classy all at the same time. Best show ever! Worth the price!
She was just wonderful, witty, funny, engaged the audience and sounded and looked beautiful. She had exceptional musicians, orchestra and guest musicians that joined her on stage. The entire evening was entertaining.
Wonderful performance - she didn't disappoint! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to hear her sing live.
