About

Beyoncé is a multi-hyphenate global entertainer, who is also the Chairwoman of her company, Parkwood Entertainment, and the founder of BeyGOOD Foundation, her philanthropic entity which was established in 2013 and became a 501(c)(3) public charity in 2023. She rose to fame in the ‘90s as a member of Destiny’s Child, the award-winning girl group from her hometown, Houston, Texas. Her solo career, which started in 2003 with her debut album, Dangerously In Love, was the first step in a multi-platinum and record-breaking solo ascension that is constantly innovative and boundary-pushing. Seven albums followed that, all adding to her wins and culture-shifting ways: B’DAY (2006), I Am…Sasha Fierce (2008), 4 (2011) Beyoncé (2013), Lemonade (2016), RENAISSANCE (2022) and COWBOY CARTER (2024). She is also a producer and has released successful films through her Parkwood Entertainment company, including Homecoming for Netflix in 2019 and Black is King for Disney+ in 2020. Today, she has a record-setting 99 Grammy nominations with 35 wins and is the artist with the most wins in Grammy history.

  • Worth the price

    by Smiley1978 on 2009-07-21Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Overall a great show. Enjoyed the production set/costume changes etc. I loved how she threw in a couple of Canadian songs during her own (e.g. Alanis Morrisette's "You Oughta Know" during "If I were a Boy" was a nice touch). Only downside for me was that there were a few too many full sets of her slow songs. Would have appreciated a little more from the Sasha Fierce side of things. But still worth the money.

This was a concert that was well worth the wait! I arrived at the Molson Ampitheatre at around 5:30pm and ticketholders were allowed into the grounds at about 6:00. The opening acts were both Eva Avila, who was very sweet and entertaining, and also a fellow Canadian (woo-hoo!) as well as an up-and-coming, almost Destiny's Child-like group called Rich Girl, both of whom opened the show up with amazing talent while performing their chart-topping hits! Beyonce came on to perform at about 9:10 and man, was she well worth the wait. Her show consisted of many wild and beautifully designed outfits and a mix of singles off of all of her albums as well as three singles from three of her movies (Pink Panther - "Check up on it", Dreamgirls - "Listen", and Cadillac Records - "At Last"). This is the third Beyonce concert that I have attended and it gets better and better each time I go. The most memorable moment to me, was at the end of her show, she declared "I am YOURS," which she explained meant that she belonged to her fans and that she would vow to continue to provide us with the best work and entertainment for years to come. Beyonce, dubbed a "powerhouse," is truly an amazing artist and one of the very few in my lifetime (I am only 23) that I has become a household name in the music and entertainment industry. We wish you all the best, Beyonce, as you continue your career in music, film, and other endeavours. If you have never attended a concert, do not miss out on a chance to see her perform live in the future!

  • Beyonce is an amazing performer!

    by Mellie81 on 2009-07-21Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I knew I was going to enjoy the show but I couldn't have predicted how much! Beyonce was unbelievably amazing she performed all of the songs you would want to hear and others that you didn't know she would sing. She incorporated a bit of her childhood with home movies of her singing and dancing as a 5 or 6 year old which was a great touch! I would see her again in a heartbeat and next time I will pay to be right up front!!! I am definitely going to get her newest CD as the songs were great! Thanks to Beyonce for a great show!

  • Dissapointing

    by Scorpi28 on 2009-07-21Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I expected more from her....Between the opening act and Beyonce showing up on stage we had about 15 minutes to stare at the numerous Beyonce commercials running on the big screens and about 45 minutes or more staring at an empty stage. I do realize that she is a big star, but really... All the respect to Beyonce's ability to dance her ass off and still sound amazing while singing, but the crowd, including myself, did not know most of the songs. When paying to see/hear a singer like Beyonce, I expect to hear all of the hits that made me buy this ticket, not only 4 or 5.

  • Beyonce - Absolute Perfection!

by Jaxx on 2009-07-21Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

There was a long wait to begin the show which was frustrating. But once Beyonce took the stage, the delay was quickly forgotton! Beyonce put on an amazing performance - the show had dazzling costumes, great coregography & dance, a wicked all girl band and most importantly, superb vocals! We were on our feet the entire time and couldn't take our eyes off of Beyonce. She looked stunning and worked the stage 110% for the full duration of the concert. I would definately go see her again!

  • Beyonce was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My best friend & I went to see Beyonce and she was unbelievable! Her voice is so soulful, and she is a truly talented women. Jayz is a very lucky man and her parents must be so proud of her. Her stage was spectacular and the costumes were stunning. When she sang "Ava Maria" i got goosebumps!!!

  • Beyonce: Outstanding

    by Quickshadow82 on 2009-07-21Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the most unforgettable performances I have ever seen. Beyonce is almost superhuman, from the beginning of the concert right until the end. To watch a super talented performer sing perfectly and dance for one and a half hours straight is an unfathomable experience. Her beauty, grace, sexiness and vigor makes it hard to look away from the stage for a split second. This is definately a show that everyone should see, and without a doubt, this artist is already a legend. Ten fold.

  • Great show!

by AndyF on 2009-07-21Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

It took her too long to get on stage, but once she did, she rocked it!

  • Beyonce was fabulous!

by Alfie on 2009-07-21Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

She was so talented and beautiful! Her voice was absolutely amazing, especially during her rendition of Sarah Mclachlan's Angel which turned into Ave Maria. She highlighted another Canadian artist with her version of Alanis Morrisette's You Oughta Know. The costumes were elaborate and her back-up dancers and all-female band highly complemented her talent. The set design was nice, but not really a highlight. Also loved the songs from "Dreamgirls". The venue was fair. I really don't like the acoustics in the Molson Amphitheatre. Over all I would recommend this concert, even for non-fans.....she just might win you over with her talent and powerful voice!

  • Beyonce is stunning!
