BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Big Data is the project of Rochester, New York-based musician and producer Alan Wilkis. Wilkis made his debut in late 2013 with the 1.0 EP, a concept mini-album that offered commentary on society's ever-complicated relationship with technology in the form of four glittering electrorock tracks. The Joywave-featured lead single "Dangerous" was a breakthrough hit, landing at No. 2 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart and cracking the Top 20 on the Rock Songs chart. A remix album -- the 1.5 EP -- followed shortly after, featuring eight different interpretations of "Dangerous" by artists like Joywave, Bad Cop, and CHAPPO.
