Must go! Big Valley Jamboree is the rowdiest and best weekend anyone can ask for!
This was my first kickoff party and I will never miss another one had a great time
I had the time of my life. We camped and had no problems at all. the music was great. I am saving for nest year.
This was well worth every dollar. Jason Aldean puts on a great show!!! "Do you like the way that sounds?"
This year at BVJ I purchased Saturday and Sunday day passes and extra Sunday passes for friends. The music was great. The best act was the Judds. I had backstage pass to meet Jason and Toby. My only question is why the main act preforms at 9pm. This is the third year in a row a thunderstorm has stopped a main act.
Absolutely amazing...plan on attending next year. BVJ always does the best job.
While I love Big Valley and understand that the show cannot always come off without a hitch a big name draw like Keith Urban cancelling is uncalled for. So his voice was gone...does that mean he no longer remembered how to play the guitar....a half hour set of him playing hits on the acoustic guitar would have thrilled the audience....congratulations for those who extended their performances to fill in for his arrogance. I sure hope they got his salary too!
So much fun! Awesome weekend! I loved the concerts!
FANTASTIC and worth going every year for a great time
show was good, but main headliner cancelled at last moment, very dissapointing!
The whole day at BVJ was great until we found out that Toby Keith was unable to play. This is the second time that we missed because the last time at BVJ it was raining really hard and we were soaked before he appeared so we left. (our own fault) Ronnie Dunn put on a great show and extended his concert for about 45 minutes. He was great. Charlie Daniels was also wonderful. Can he ever play the guitar as well as the fiddle. His show could have been a closer also. The whole day was filled with wonderful performers and I would suggest to anyone to attend the BVJ!
Such a well organized event despite the let down Toby Keith not showing up.
It seems like every year on of the main headliners doesn't perform at BVJ. (ie. 2009-Tim McGraw, 2010-Miranda Lambert, and 2011- Toby Kieth) For the amount of money I paid for my ticket, camping spot, etc. I would have liked to see all of the main headliners perform as I was promised. I can understand when weather and sickness prevent a performer from going on stage, but it would be nice to get a reimbursement or a future concert.
As a NON COUNTRY fan, I went thinking I would have a good time, but I never expected to have a GREAT time! The entertainement was for everyone, not just country fans. There is so much to see and do. Never a dull moment. People watching, playing the slots, watching Bull riding, shopping and oh yes dancing in the rain. The Rain was not a problem, just dress proper and have fun! One of the most fun weekends I have had in a long time and I am no kid people. If you get a chance GO!!! At least once!
It was an awesome weekend except for a couple flaws... 1. I went on Wednesday morning and got my campsite, ended up being in a swamp and we got moved the farthest away from anything! Yeah I know you guys can't control the rain to make the swamps but I should have gotten a better campsite 2. I spent $106 dollars for 2 kick off party tickets that ended up getting rained out. Yet again not your guys fault but they should give refunds. Still such an amazing weekend and these couple of issues isn't going to make me not come back, I will be there every summer! :)
Sound man for Shane Yellowbird needs to go back to sound school. It didn't matter if you were in the bleachers at the back or near the stage, you couldn't hear Shane but you sure could hear the band!!! Sound for Sawyer Brown was much better. Didn't make it to Dean Brody due to weather ... way too bad, bring him back and put him on the main stage!!!
It was just a great year all round. The acts were wonderful. The weather marvelous I met some great folks. Danny Hooper never fails to crack me up. He's the best. Cowboy church on Sunday morning is always a highlight for me. The performers were outstanding this year. PLease consider featuring this event in upcoming years. We haven't missed it in 6 years.
So much great country music in such a short time. The Big Valley jamboree is a chance for friends to meet each year. The ticket prices are good. My poroblem was Friday night when Miranda Lambert was stopped because of the weather. I think the big act of the day should play at 7pm. Sometimes by 9pm the weather cools down and there is a much better chance of a storm. Saturday Martina Mcbride, Ronnie Milsap, and Kevin were great. Sunday Keith Urban was amazing and 29,000 people in the concert area.
Had never attended BVJ before, but would highly recomend it. Mark Chestnut was amazing. The atmosphere was incredible. The organizers of BVJ think of everything for the event, from ice men to shuttle buses, etc. This was a great party.
The event is amazing and always a lot of fun...the entertainment is excellent and well worth going to...:) Only missed once in the last 9 years, it is a must see. Great job Panhandle Productions.
