Loved every minute of it. Could have listened to him all night. My face was wet from my tears of laughter. If you take life seriously, don't go to see him.

Well worth it. Bill Maher had us & the whole building laughing hysterically. Highly recommend.

Exactly as advertised, the show was awesome. I would see him again when he's back with another tour.

If you watch his show Real Time on HBO, that gives you a good idea of what to expect. He talks about politics, religion, the economy, climate change, and all sorts of topics. He points out a lot of the logical fallacies that come in these different channels, and of course spins them in a funny way. He plays with the crowds reactions and so forth a bit as well, so it gives a bit of a unique feel. If you have a chance, and you like his style, go see him.

Political satire has always been the paramount tool used by comediens in bringing forward a dialouge on the state of the nation. Bill Maher is no exception - through a 90 minute show he managed to captivate and hold an audience who laughed throughout. More importantly he helped provide a platform for what is both wrong and right about America and made us laugh at our own stupdity. Well done Bill

...especially when it comes to exposing religion, republicans, and George W. In a world of 'over-the-top political correctness', he's not afraid to call an idiot- an idiot! I hope he chooses to make this a yearly event! A great intimate theatre with good sight-lines and good sound.

Bill Maher delivered...articulate, factual and damn funny. His views on American politics and the realities of the economic situation were unforgiving. \no one was safe from critique. Bill's show was no more than 95 minutes so he could have spent a more time on stage. His audience would have appreciated it. Any ticket buyer wants a bang for their buck, particularly these days.

Can't beat Bill Maher's take on politics and many other issues. Can be crude & a tad shocking at times to some, if a person isn't aware of that. He's so clever and hilarious, he's a 'gotta see' ! Third time I've seen his standup in different venues - always the best. Enjoyed the River Rock Theatre and was my first time there. Great theatre and look forward to more there.

Great venue for people like Bill Maher. Scathing commentary on the politicians of his country. A great wit. How he can keep all that inside his brain is beyond me. I think he should move here for a while. Give us a fresh perspective of our good old boys, not that Rick Mercer doesn't do a great job.I

If you're familiar with his work then you know what you're getting when you see Bill Maher. He's the same live as on TV; his political savvy and wit were on target and he had enough new jokes thrown in to keep the audience laughing, applauding, and shouting for more. If you have the chance don't miss out on one of the few people who's not afraid to tell it like it is!

Bill Maher's shots were right on the money last night at the River Rock in Richmond.His favourite targets,including organized religion and political buffoons were well plastered with his wickedly funny verbal bombs,while bankers took it on the chin a few times as well.There was no mercy for those individuals (mostly American) who have decided to be antii-Obama without really knowing why and those whose reasons are poorly disguised racism either.All in all the one and a half hour performance went by much too quickly and left me definitely ready for at least a second helping from America's #1 Satirist.

Bill is pretty much right on with his comments on the "State of the Union" Although it is obviously, and primarily US politics, if one knows anything about that, he finds the satire and caustic comments that are right on!

Bill Maher was in top form at River Rock Theater. Loved the Muslim Dior fashion show. I would have appreciated if he had woven just a little Canadiana into his show, as it was ALL about Americans. From Harper to Ignatieff to the Olympics, to the dreary weather, there must be something he could pick on. Please! But what he did, was excellent as usual, and I guess that IS what he does!

Thank goodness Bill came back to Vancouver. I missed the last time he toured here. This new show is what you expect from the great Bill Maher. Brutal comedic honesty and my favourite part of course is the rational look to religions and how it can hurt people.

Very funny. He had the audience laughing continuously. Even if you don't like Politics, you'll love his stuff.

My husband has been a fan of Bill Maher for years and when we saw his movie "Religulous" in the Spring we both thought it was great - very witty and humorous. People might not "get" his humour if they don't follow American politics but we did and thought the show was great!

He has a really great touch for telling it like it is, whether it's about religion, politics or whatever. VERY funny!!!

he slammed Republicans(several in particular), almost all religions, health care anti reformists and americans in general. He speaks a lot of truth!
