The best music event i ever saw at the Mcphillips Street Casino. I would go back to see him again at a drop of a hat. Top rated performer, thats for sure, and he proved he still has it!! Fantastic voice as it always was, please bring him back again!!
He sounded awesome, I would see him again. The seat I had was a great view of him and the band.
He played non stop for 2 1/2 hrs. In all these years he has not lost his voice. Truly amazing and I would see him again if I get the chance
He said he had just gotten off the plane from Las Vegas, but still didn't complain about the freezing May weather. I didn't think I'd care much for this concert, but it turned out to be very enjoyable. He brought the Caribbean rhythms, beats, and warmth to the casino. He sure can travel across the stage and was available to kiss and shake hands with his audience. It was good to see a different and diverse crowd at this concert.
Billy Ocean performed with class. His voice was golden. When he sang it appeared effortless... He interacted extremely well with the audience. He sang everyone of his songs! Their were only two unfortunates to the evening ... I waited to hear my favourite song "Syncopation" and it never came. I was also anticipating purchasing a CD of his music and no CD's were available for sale either after the concert or in the McPhillips Street Station gift shop. I really liked the smaller venue as compared to the larger MTS Centre. I found purchasing tickets via telephone a very warm experience as opposed to the online frustration. It was so nice to have a human voice to guide and assist me accordingly with purchasing my tickets! I had never been to a concert or event at the McPhillips Street Station and it was a very positive experience.Thank-you so much for a most wonderful and enjoyable evening spent. It was awesome!! Billy Ocean is a performer who is so much above the level of some of our newer, younger, and inexperienced singers. Oh yes, they surely could take lessons from him!
Although getting along in age, Ocean has retained his tremendous voice with its full range. His performance was amazing and he can still belt out the slow songs and still rock with such hits as Caribbean Queen, The Tough Get Going, Get Into My Car etc. His years of experience provides for a most satisfying and smooth performance. The two hour show was tremendous.
