Not sure what to expect, as it was my first time to see a jazz ballet, I was thrilled by the event.
For a Canadian ballet company to honor Leonard Cohen's music with this (interpretive) dance made his deeply intoning words to his songs more visual. The choreography was exciting, the dancers limitless with their movements, and the simplistic costuming was very, very effectual. And to Kennedy Kraeling, because I know of her family relatives, even made it more "Alberta". Worked so hard to get here...job well done.
To BJM, well done...my heart soars with appreciation and in the mindfulness of the music of Leonard Cohen.
