Stellar show, start to finish. Every single artist, and we were blessed with many.
First Ontario Concert Hall is my favorite venue for a concert and standup. Blackie and the Rodeo Kings are on of my favorite bands and this concert did not dissapoint. Great show. Loved it.
Getting to the hall, parking, getting drinks, and our seats was all a calm enjoyable experience. Blackie and the Rodeo Kings were amazing and we enjoyed every guest they brought out!
Such a tight band. The bonus special guests just made it better. Terra Lightfoot, Serena Ryder, and Colin James. Such an enjoyable show. The opening act, Deep Roots was very good as well.
The show was 10 times better than I expected it to be. They are an amazing band with an amazing sound, and all the special guests that they had and surprise guests were a great addition. The Commodore Ballroom is probably one of the best venues in Vancouver to see you showing great service great venue.
Just great musicianship. The interaction with the audience made it feel like a shared group experience. Also loved interplay between musicians.
This show was Epic from beginning to end. The opener Digging Roots played with so much emotion and stage presence it was gard to believe thst they are only a three piece band. Incredible guitar talent, huge sound, pure emotion, and a truly hearfelt message. Blackie and the Rodeo Kings performed beyond words. Three of Canada's most talented musicians perfoming together in complete sync with each other was so amazing to watch and an absolute pleasure listen to. Jaw dropping talent from all three members plus added guest appesrances by Terra Lightfoot and Colin James made this one of the best overall shows I have seen in decades. The evening was an overall mindblowing experience. Bravo!
I go to a lot of live gigs and recently I've been dissapoined with quite a few, usually as they have a sub par light show and play for only an hour. Blackie and the Rodeo Kings were excellent in all respects and played for 2 hours plus, had a great light show and special guests including Colin James. So highly recommended.
Front row seat. Loved the venue and the band. Only draw back was waiting a year to enjoy the concert due to covid restrictions/outbreaks.
B.A.R.K. did not disappoint. A good mixture of oldies and new releases. Terra Lightfoot was a nice addition to the program performing some of her music and providing harmonies for some of B.A.R.K.'s songs. The Bella Concert Hall was a great venue - a perfect size for this performance with great acoustics. A great way to spend a snowy evening in Calgary listening to great music in a great concert hall.
So wonderful to see and hear the band after 2 years. Fantastic concert - a rocking evening. LOVE Blackie! And the addition of Terra Lightfoot was so wonderful. What a voice, and her guitar work complemented the band's expertise.
I have had the pleasure of seeing the boys individually and as Blackie, THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT, the addition of Terra Lightfoot just made the show that much better!!!!
After a long delay to see this show boy was it worth it. Special guest, Terra Lightfoot, was a delightful surprise. Her opening set was great plus, I love that she came out and played with Blackie & the Rodeo Kings a few times. This venue is always amazing to see anyone in, sound and sight lines are great, and then the show itself was awesome.
Fantastic show! These guys are superstars. Great show with mostly new and some older songs.
Loved EVERYTHING about this show! Loved loved it all! Loved that Terra Lightfoot played with them as well. Thought she was an EXCELLENT fill in. We left on such a high, it truly exceeded all our expectations ❤️ Thank you! Xo
Have had these tickets for the show for over a year , resceduled twice! WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! The band was is great spirit and so was the crowd. Great night of great music and Cheer! So glad they made it!
The concert was absolutely amazing. Everyone involved did a superb job. From start to finish it was well done. The band was awesome as usual.
Blackie and the Rodeo Kings have been a staple of my musical diet from their inception. Willie P. Bennet was foundational to my musical identity. Two and a half decades later their music is deeply satisfying and very much their own. This was our first concert post covid and it replenished my soul. The energy and musicianship was outstanding. The song choices on point. The stories shared felt like healing. Thank You for an amazing experience. This was also my partner's live intro to Terra Lightfoot, in his words "Grateful for the introduction."
Great show. Fiery guitars, heartfelt lyrics, high energy, and super interaction with the audience. Go see this band, every chance you have.
I bought a pair of tickets very early once I heard they were available. Having been to The Danforth Music Hall previously, I was concerned about seating as the last event I was there for had no seats on the floor, general admission. I know they have removable seats at this venue. So I purchased balcony seats for Blackie and the Rodeo Kings. No floor seats were being offered when I bought the balcony seats. When we got to the theatre there were seats on the main floor. What I want to know is what’s going on? It seems that it was decided to put seats on the floor after the tickets had already been on sale. The seats I purchased were ok but who wouldn’t want to be closer? People seating around us appeared to have been equally surprised. The band was great. The sound was great. The seating surprise was not so great.
