Toronto Blue Jays History

The Toronto Blue Jays, established in 1977, are Canada’s only Major League Baseball team. As part of the American League East Division, they have played their home games at the Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto since the ballpark opened in 1989. The Toronto Blue Jays are the first and only team outside the U.S. to ever win the World Series, a victory achieved just 15 years after their inception.

The Toronto Blue Jays were World Champions in both 1992 and 1993. More recently, the team made playoff appearances in 2015, 2016, 2020, 2022, and 2023. Over the years, the Blue Jays have yielded a number of legendary players, including second baseman Roberto Alomar and first baseman Joe Carter, whose home run clinched the team’s 1993 World Series win. The team’s home of Rogers Centre has developed a reputation as one of the most vibrant locations for a game throughout the MLB.

We sat in the TD Clubhouse, what an awesome experience. In seat wait service, great view of the game, private washrooms, padded seats, this is the only section we will sit in forever!

  • 8-1

It was 8-1… Disappointed I had to experience that live.

  • Always a good time

My mom and I go to Jays games periodically throughout the year for something to do, as its quite inexpensive and entertaining. We went to the June 29th game, which had a free t-shirt being given away, so it's always nice to go on days where you get things for coming. Some of the people behind us were quite intoxicated and loud throughout the event, but it's to be expected for a night game. The staff were very friendly, especially at concession stands, which was a surprise. The Roger's Center is fully cash-free now so expect that if you go. Overall, even though the Jays lost, going to the games is always a fun experience for all ages!

  • Can’t go wrong with the Jays

by LOC on 2022-04-23Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been going to jays games a long time and I love every single one. Wherever you are in the stadium it is a pretty good time. I would sat if you have small children go on a Saturday or Sunday. Things can sometimes get a little out of hand at night games (fights, excessive drinking, vulgarities etc.) but for the most part it is a safe and fun environment

  • The Atmosphere defines who the blue Jays are !!

by Oloto Arni on 2021-10-01Rating: 5 out of 5

I went for my first ever in life baseball game when blue Jays hosted the New Yankees and everything was in position. Got some snacks and popcorns, went up and find out seats then finally enjoy the heart of the game . I love the way blue Jays played though the Yankees emerged to be superiors but still I appreciated the Jays. I love them so much !!! Together we shall hit the North America . Go! Go! Blue Jays

  • Great!

Went to my first baseball game on Thursday, August 26/21. The atmosphere was good and the game was fun to watch, even though Blue Jays lost, I would definitely go to another game again.

  • Blue Jays and Roger Centre Never Disappoint

    by A. on 2021-09-06Rating: 5 out of 5

We've attended many games over the years and have never been left disappointed. Amazing fans cheering on the Blue Jays and great facilities. Staff are welcoming. Only issue since COVID is that fans are not made to keep masks on. Our last game, it took staff members until the 9th inning to remove unruly, ignorant and defiant fans. Unfortunately our experience that evening was not great but i guess that's what we get for going to an evening game. Will stick to day games from here on out.

  • Minus the Staff, great time

    by Brad t on 2021-08-26Rating: 2 out of 5

The game experience was amazing. The staff at the Rogers Centre, the opposite. Ball boy was harassing fans all game, ushers were very rude and seemed it was an inconvenience to ask where my seats are. Will not be returning

  • Cant get much better!

Absolutely fantastic experience! Fun. Exciting and just a joy to be there! I'll be purchasing more tickets this season!
