  • Exciting

by Joyce1 on 2011-12-29National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Never a dull moment.....colorful, audience participation, fun for everyone. It can be loud but ear plugs are supplied. A feast for the eyes!!! You do need to read quickly or you will miss some of the texts on stage. Overall I would recommend it for the whole family.

  • Question is not 'How was it?... but 'What was it?'

by Anonymous on 2011-12-29National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 1 out of 5

My family felt that the show could be described as bizarre, random and that there were little or no connections between the acts. While the idea that technology is taking over our lives is a valid theme and was well portrayed in parts, there were too many positively strange and unrelated acts, such as the Twinkie Dinner. What was the meaning behind the creamy filling spewing out of the chests of the diners? And why was this 'spewage' presented to the brave participant in a dogie bag? Eww! On the topic of audience participation, why on earth was a man covered in paint, hung up-side-down and bashed against a canvas? Technology? From our vantage point at the back of the balcony, we were not able to read the text messages on the over-sized hand-held devices because of the ceiling lights which hung down. The set-up technicians should have checked for visibility from all seating views. Lastly, even my teen-aged kids found the show too loud, and we were sitting at the back. Would we recommend this show? In a word, 'no', but we were glad that we went because it makes us appreciate other NAC events all the more. The general response in the foyer after the show was not '"how was it?" but "what was it?".

Without a doubt this show was the best show I have ever seen. Wish I had gone to the see them when I was in Las Vegas. I would go back again tomorrow if I could. Do yourself a favour, ATTEND this show before it leaves town.

It was a great performance of talent and humor. I would definitely watch again. My only regret is that it was TOO short.

I'm always looking from something to enjoy with my family that is different and yet enjoyable for all our ages 16yrs to 48yrs and this was a perfect fit. We all enjoyed the show and would recommed this show as a great family choice for teenagers and above. We all look forward to attending another show together or with other people in the future

  • "You Definatly Didn't Leave Feelin' Blue"

by PHILLBOTT on 2011-07-24Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

The interactive show had you from "Hello"... It was absolutely amazing. From the high energy performances to the very suttle looks and gestures from one to another. If for a moment you were bored you probably didnt have a pulse.

  • blue man group very entertaining

by wolfpup on 2011-07-22Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

this show is very entertaining with a silent audience participation which makes the humor level rise through out the performance.the perfomances are different, unexpected, talented and well done. However our seats that we paid top price for were changed to very poor side viewing seats at the very least we should have recieved a price reduction or a complete refund as a good buisiness or valued customer gesture. This was disappointing after a 4 hour drive in just for the show.It kind of spoiled our treat to our grandsons.

Although I miss the old rockin antics of the Blue Man Group, they still put on quite a show. I was really hopin for the Teenage Wasteland song to still be in their lineup. Overall still an entertaining show.
