Blue Man Group Rocks!!!
by enteng on 2011-07-19Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5Awesome show!!! My 7 year old son kept on hugging and thanking me for bringing him to the show. We all had fun! The blue man group rocks!!! amazing performers, musicians and artists! too bad they don't talk! LOL Next time we get a chance we'll watch them again, this time, on a floor level seating. :-)
Blue Man Group highly recommended!!!
by bridget4222 on 2011-07-19Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5Entertainment and comedic antics for all ages. First time sitting in the front row for any event. Would do it again in a minute. My 13 year old was highly entertained. The crowd participation was fabulous. A must see. The only thing that would render 5 stars instead of four is the length of the concert. It could stand to be a little longer. It finished just as you are getting into the rhythm of it all!!
Blue Man Group was great
by juniemoon on 2011-07-19Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5R4ally enjoyed the concert, somewhat different from the one at MTS which was the Megastar 2.0 tour. Really enjoyed the audience interaction and participation. the Blue Man Group always seem to do something up to date, innovative and enteteraining.
Fantastic and Fun
by Superfunmom on 2011-07-19Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5I was expecting lots of drumming and visual display, and got that. But I was amazed at just how FUN it was. Teens and I were laughing even before the show began and then throughout the show. (Great use of wait time. They got the audience involved with fun comments on screen, then having audience members stand up while the rest of the audience read the fun comments out loud to them.) Really appreciated that the "blue men" came out for photos later too. Amazing that they had the energy left after such an action packed show! Overall, fantastic. Interactive, and did I mention... fun?!

Blue Man Group was Extraordinary!
by Hazel231346523 on 2011-07-19Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5BMG had me grinning from ear to ear!! I love the audience interaction especially the huge air filled balls thrown into the audience and the painting! So cool that some people got the paintings too! Oh and the "elephant feet" or "meat flaps" finale was side-splitting!
Hard to Describe!
by NickyA on 2011-07-19Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5I have seen the Blue Man Group one other time before, but my two sons I took with me, 17 & 20 were seeing them for the first time and were blown away, I haven't seen them that excited about anything for a long time! After the performance walking back to the car my the oldest son called one of his friends and said - dude, that was the most intense thing I've ever seen! The three of us agreed that it is a really hard thing to try and describe to someone who hasn't seen them, because it's so different.
Blue Man Group
by BonJovipal on 2011-07-18Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5I thought it was fantastic! worth giving up a hot summer day to attend. I laughed so hard I was crying. These guys are SO talented in many ways; music, athletics etc. My daughter was pulled up on stage and thought they worked well together getting her to participate. I love music and thought the musicians were very good as well. The visuals were good and the message they were giving, spend time with the people around you, was so true. I would definately go again.

In Which I Review The Blue Man Group. Ready Go.
by ajollynerd on 2011-07-18Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5Saturday night, I took my family to see the Blue Man Group. None of us had ever been to see them before, so to suggest we were excited for the experience was an understatement. Our expectations were easily met, however, and exceeded. The performance took place at the Winnipeg Centennial Concert Hall, a venerable location with massive chandeliers in the lobby. Now, though I had never seen the Blue Men in action before in person, I had seen them in various YouTube videos. Essentially, there was a small amount of cognitive dissonance going in. After a brief wait in our seats, the show began in earnest. It began with a series of messages on a pair of scrolling LED displays mounted above the stage, announcing the birthday of one audience member (to whom we were instructed to say, not sing, the “Happy Birthday” song), the presence of a couple of VIPs, an ordinary guy (who we thanked for just being ordinary) and a woman with a headache (to whom we were encouraged to offer a mass apology for all of the noise related to the other announcements). This was obviously setting the pace for the expected upcoming audience participation. Now, I knew there was a performance art aspect to the Blue Man Group, but I was under the impression that this was going to be, first and foremost, a rock concert. I was pleasantly mistaken. The music, centred around instruments made mainly of various lengths of PVC pipe, was the hub around which the show revolved, but there were more comedic hijinks than I was expecting. This is what is generally known as a Very Good Thing. I can’t say which was funnier, the sketches involving the Blue Men themselves (seeming very bewildered with the world in general), or the segments involving hesitant “volunteers”* from the audience. I can’t say for sure if any of these people were planted, but if not it was nice to see them get a memento of their participation, in the form of a piece of art from their segment. The show itself lasted just shy of two hours, but I had no idea until I checked my phone on the way out. It simply felt far shorter, but not in a bad way. This felt shorter on a “time flies when you’re having fun” kind of way, because that is exactly what I was doing; having fun, masses and masses of it. I exhort everyone to see them at their earliest convenience. Really, it’s hard to imagine having more fun, hearing more ear-boggling music, or seeing more mind-melting special effects in a live performance. I know I plan to go again, next time they come around. *I say “volunteers” because the victims did not volunteer so much as get pulled from their seats by one of the Blue Men, usually after a prolonged (but entertaining) search. 20 hours ago
Blue Man Group rocks!!
by rosenose on 2011-07-18Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5Excellent show! Loved the technology used to make this mime/percussion show exciting. Also loved the audience interaction/participation. Very similar show to what we saw in Vegas, but this time we had our teen kids with us and they absolutely loved it too!

Blue Man Group rocked
by Anonymous on 2011-07-18Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5I love Blue Man Group because they got the whole crowd engaged from the first minute. Their act appealed to young and old, and was "good clean fun". It was so creative, and quite a feat to get all ages playing together at the same time. It was respectful humour! It's so great to be entertained without vulgarity or trashy content. It was play, it was fun. The only shortcoming - we were on the second balcony - and missed parts of the written words. We also couldn't see some of the subtle humour, as we were too far away. I loved them and would see them again in a flash!
Highly entertaining even if a little in bad taste.
by Tosha on 2011-07-18Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5The Blue Man Group performance was great, very funny, great sound, and always unpredictable in that you never what's going to happen next. The only down side was a skit with them eating some kind of Twinkie. They spit out what they had put in their mouths and then eating a substance that squirted out from a hole in their chest, a little disgusting. Aside from that very entertaining, a must see. The audience ranged from teens to retirees, all were thourghly engaged in the performance.
Humourous but overpriced
by Fan456123 on 2011-07-18Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5I loved the show but thought ticket prices were too high for the entertainment value.
Blue Man Group was so much fun!!
by KADDLE on 2011-07-18Centennial Concert Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5This was our second time seeing the Blue man Group & we had a blast! They are funny & entertaining. Love the fact they are very interactive and you always have a good time! The only downfall that next time we will pay the extra to be on the first level so we could be closer. We bought the family pack which was a good deal but terrible seats in the second balcony the view was obstructed at times & couldn't be a part of bouncing the balls during part of the show. However at least we were there. After the show all three Blue Men were in the front foyer so we could get pictures & finger paint autographs. Will go see them again when they come back in much better seats!
