    Good show, poor equity

by Nina on 2024-04-10Meridian Hall - Toronto

The show itself was wonderful. Engaging, and just as magical and informative as the cartoon. Ticketholders received updates prior to the show that bubbles and balloons would be released after curtain call, which we were looking forward to. Ticketholders on the mezzanine and balcony were not able to participate as the bubbles and balloons were released only at orchestra level. The poor kids had to sit and watch the orchestra level kids play and have fun, while we all filed out. Please ensure that the additional things like there, where I would imagine you could put at least a bubble machine on the upper levels, is accessible to all in the venue.

    Great family theatre experience

by Sterling on 2024-04-09Meridian Hall - Toronto

The show was very well designed. The sets, lighting, puppetry and sound were excellent. The audience participation was spot on, not too much and not cheesy- the ending was exceptional. The theatre experience maintained what makes Bluey magical- authentic dialog, hard hitting moments, and legitimate fun. Everyone in our group, and everyone around us loved it. Top notch theatre for young audiences, that also hit the mark with the rest of the family.

Keepy Uppy only on Orchestra level

    by Radiant_Renee on 2024-04-09Meridian Hall - Toronto

Beautiful show. My 6y old daughter loved it. View was from balcony, so not ideal because puppeteers were more clearly visible, but didn’t seem to bother my daughter. Unfortunately, Keepy Uppy at the end of the show was only in the orchestra level. Patrons in the balcony and mezzanine level could only watch the fun the other kids were having, or run downstairs to join in. Would have been nice if an announcement was made to inform us that upper levels wouldn’t have the balloons and whether we could go downstairs to join.

    Enjoyable for all ages!

by Bluey Mum on 2024-04-09Meridian Hall - Toronto

The play itself was great! My daughter is 2.5 and she had a blast. She was fidgety but because she wanted to go visit Bluey and Bingo at their house. Loved that it was a unique storyline and not a repeat from the show. A big let down was that we received emails about a fun game of keepy uppy after the show but that was limited to those who were not in the balcony or mezzanine. My daughter was devastated watching the people below participate and she could not.

It was cute, but the storyline was a little disappointing.

by Chattermax on 2024-04-09Meridian Hall - Toronto

My kids are 25 months and 8 months and you held their attention, and mine….but I didn’t leave saying “i don’t want this to end”. I was disappointed that more characters were not a part of the experience and found it a little odd that “auntie brandy” got a mention regardless of the storyline about being a big sister. Regardless we are die hard Bluey lovers and always waiting for more episodes. Thank you for such a beautiful little show that teaches kindness, caring, accountability and respect…and there are even messages in there for the kids too😉

    Amazing show!

by NBR on 2024-04-09Meridian Hall - Toronto

The Bluey show was great!! Good length for young kids. Sound (volume) was perfect, especially with kids making up a large portion of the audience. I liked that show time was delayed a couple minutes to allow young kids to settle in before commencing. We especially liked the end - the interactive part of the show for the Keep Uppy balloon and bubble fun!

    Amazing... while it lasted...

by Smidgen on 2024-04-09Meridian Hall - Toronto

The show was amazing. It was well worth the 11 month wait between the time of buying tickets and the show date. My 3 year old was squealing the entire time. However, tickets were $77 for the mezzanine. The show was advertised to be 50 minutes. It was set to begin at 3:30pm - it did not start until 3:40pm. The beginning was a skit with 3 birds that lasted way too long, the kids were all getting retless and couldn't understand where Bluey was. It ended at about 4:20pm. It ended with a game of Keepy Uppy - for those in the floor seating. Which I understand for safety purposes, but they did have a bubble machine going down there as well. The poor kids in the upper sections were sad to not be included. There should have been bubble machines on the higher floors to compensate for the lack of balls/balloons. While it was awesome when it was actually happening, the drive + traffic + expenses made it tough for us parents to justify.

    Great performance

by Deb on 2024-04-09Meridian Hall - Toronto

Took our granddaughter to see this show. She loved it. It was a great show. Only disappointment was it was a little less than a hour long. Thought it would be a least one and a half hour long. So glad we were able to experience the show with our grandchild.

Overall was awesome, keepy uppy needs alot of work.

by Ritaaaa!! on 2024-04-08Meridian Hall - Toronto

I took my 4 year old as a last minute surprise, and overall, we loved it. The show was about 50 min, no intermission but it was just the right length. It was cute, funny and a story similar to the show. At the end of the show they blew bubbles and threw large "balloons"into the audience for keepy uppy - this was disappointing and probably could have been planned better. The balloons were mostly in the front, I told my little to be patient and the balloons would come towards the back. I was mostly wrong. There was no staff managing them so if a balloon did come to the back it was quickly hit to the front. People sitting in the back rushed to the front. We attempted to move to the front but it was too late and too many people. My little almost touched a balloon while i carried her and someone smacked it agressively away. The balloons were then gathered by staff. The bubbles didnt even mae past the first 10 rows of seats. The cost of merch was also kinda gross. We spent $120 on a tshirt, headband and small plush.

    Good times!

by Cynthia on 2024-04-08Meridian Hall - Toronto

My 4 yr old and 7 yr old LOVED IT! was 45 min long which was just long enough for all of us. The balloon game at the end was the best part...along with the birds at the beginning and end. We got cheap seats at the back, but it was perfectly fine viewing. The audience and everyone was relaxed and in good spirits. Very enjoyable and reasonably priced.

    Cute show for kids

by Alex on 2024-04-08Meridian Hall - Toronto

This was a really cute show - my 3 year old daughter and 6 year old son enjoyed it. We weren't sure if it would be too "young"for our son, but he was grinning and bopping along the whole time. The show is not super high tech but it was cute and engaging. It is an hour long which was a good length (for the kids and parents). Great first theatre experience for the kids.

We made a special trip to Toronto to see this show with our Bluey loving 4 year old! It was amazing! So many wonderful parts that got the audience excited and engaged! The puppeteers were exceptional, portraying the emotions of the characters they were! We would go and see it again!

    Great for kids

by Teresa on 2024-04-08Meridian Hall - Toronto

I thought that Bluey's big play was really well done. all the kids enjoyed it, so did parents. It could have been longer though. Show was just under 1 hour long.

    Fun for all

by Blueys big play .. hurray! on 2024-04-08

We took our two year old to see this play in Toronto and it was an absolute blast! Lots of fun moments for kids to dance, clap, and let loose! Just the right amount of time to match their attention spans. My only complaint (if you can even call It that!) is that the big game of keepy uppy is exclusive to the guests in floor seats. Had I of known this prior to the show, I would have purchased tickets accordingly because my little one felt a little left out. Even with the exclusion of keepy uppy, this was an amazing event that I highly recommended for any Bluey loving family!
