It was a great show! Seger is better than ever. Yes I would recommend this concert to my friends TM
Just close your eyes & your transformed back in time... to 1987. That's the first & last time I saw Seger playing at the Gardens. Like last time, this time was old time rock & roll at it's best. No fancy lazer light show, no jumbo trons, just plan old lighting & speakers. He must be in his mid 60's now but he captivated the audience. Had us singing & dancing in our seats as well as the isles. I'm sorry I've waited so long to see him again. Won't be making that mistake again.
Bob put on a great show, the audience was very enthusiastic, sax player Alto Reed as always was amazing. Only disappointment was that he did not do several of his most famous hits such as "Night Moves", a couple of others. His fans look forward to these classics and they should be part of the show when he is only touring every 3 or 4 years.
The ACC was electric with anticipation for the show. Bob Seger was getting over a flu which caused him to cancel a recent show in Cleveland and his voice was a bit raspy to start. This just added to the performance with his vocal style. His set list went from most recent back to his first single. A great mix of songs from his career. The 14 piece band was tight, energetic and connecting with the audience. they played for 2 hours with a brief intermission and then did 2 encores. Great value for the entertainment dollar.
Bob Seger concert was truly an experience of a lifetime. Bob and his band played like no time had passed in over 30 years. They sounded absolutely amazing right from his singing to Alto Reed performing his magic on his saxophone. If he is still a concert you haven't seen he is worth the expense of flying somewhere to go see him. I just hope and pray that he will make his way to Edmonton in the very near future because I know it would be a sold out show because us Albertans are awesome fans. I did miss a few tunes like Night Moves but when you have that many hits and so little time we can't expect to hear everything. Thank you Bob Seger for a performance never to be forgotton.
The music was great, he was great. His band is amazing. My only problem was the number of drunk people. We had seats in section 107, first row so we got a bird's eye view of the people that were removed from the concert, very distracting. I have to wonder how do you regulate how many drinks someone has?
Bob Seger and all of the supporting musicians were absolutely GREAT. Song selection and interaction with the fans was also excellent even from afar. The ACC does not however serve as a good venue for music, especially from the floor. It wasn't loud enough and the ACC was not suitably staffed/prepared to serve the sizeable crowd at the concessions stands. I will be reluctant to attend a music concert at the ACC in future.
Bob still has what it takes! Awesome! Pretty damn good for 66 years old!!
Overall, it was a great show. He still has the same amazing voice. The only downside was the small break in the middle, which seemed to disrupt the flow of the show. People can't seem to wait for 10 minutes, so a lot of people got up, then were still coming back while he came back on stage. The sound was good, except Bob's mike could have been turned up louder, as he seemed to be at the same volume as the band. The Silver Bullet Band was amazing. Bob Seger was Bob Seger - fantastic voice, and good rock and roll.
Great performance. Love this dude. Old audience a little sedate. I hope I have this kind of energy when Im 65.
songs and music were just not the same...wish there would have been a screen so we could have seen bob better!
I have been to several of Seger's concerts and this time I was disappointed. It was obvious that he was still struggling with his voice from being sick earlier in the tour. I would have prefered that he postpone the concert like he did for Ohio. I sure hope this isn't his farewell tour as it would be ashame to have him end such a career on a "sour" note.
Amazing show great energy the band was on fire but the overall sound and mix were absouluty terible I thought it was me but 2 other people mentioned @ the break but still a fun night with a great artist
The old guy can still rock it. The new stuff could have come from his early albums. Outstanding show. He did not do Night Moves which was disapointing. Then again, a couple years ago at Casino Rama, Joe Walsh didn't do Rocky Mountain Way. Go figure.
Very good show. Started on time and he played lots of great songs. Had 3 encores! Even though he is older now, he still has a great voice and can really bring it. Wanted more songs still... could have listened all night long to more and more.
The concert was phenomenal! Bob's still got it - he came on at a few minutes after 8pm, took a 7 minute intermission and rocked until 10:45pm = WOW! Two encores, gave us a great sampling of his many years of music. Loved it!!!
This concert was amazing...still sounds the same after all these years. It was like listening to Live Bullet. I was nervous going in but came away 100% satisfied. Seger still has it in a big way. The only thing missing was a big screen; that would have been nice.
A thoroughly enjoyable show. Having never seen Bob Seger live before, it was great to be able to see this Rock Legend live. With a stripped down set, no special effects and a 14 piece band, he showed that at 65 he still has what it takes to entertain an audience. On top of that, a concious decision to keep ticket prices reasonable made the evening that more enjoyable. Come back to the Big Smoke Bob.
AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!!!!! I go to all the concerts, see all the big acts and I can write that Seger was right up there in my top 5 best concerts. Saw Seger's show in Buffalo, HSBC, on Sat Apr 9 and again at the ACC Apr 12 and both shows were amazing! Most concerts have highlights that are easy to pinpoint but in Seger's case the WHOLE show was a highlight. Today is Friday, 3 days later and I'm still trying to come down from my adrenaline high...Seger ROCKS!
