  • Bodies was educational but crowded!

by Anonymous on 2010-12-29MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

The exhibits were amazing to see and very informative. However, the crowded atmosphere made it difficult to spend as much time at each display as we would have liked.

Too crowded and the exhibits although real, some looked artificial.

  • Bodies is great

by PhilA on 2010-12-28MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

The Bodies exhibit is excellent. It was very informational and educational, I can't believe we don't have these types of exhibits on a regualr basis. Both my children, in high school, attended Bodies on field trips which is great. Highly reccommended with exception to the audio rentals, save the $5 and read the display signs they are much bettter.

  • bodies was unbelievable

by corykolo on 2010-12-19MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

We were absolutley amazed at the human body in it's naked form.. Seeing how the muscles, tendons, organs, veins, etc all work together makes it easier to understand the miracle of our bodies capabilities. Holding a human heart and brain in your hand is an experience we won't soon forget. Aslo visualizing what lungs look like from smoking and actually seeing it is totally different. I am a casual smoker and I have decided I really don't want my lungs to ever look like that so I have quit smoking for good. We took advantage of the voice audio that explained what we were looking at. However we felt it would have been easier and more informative to have a guide take us through and explain it all as well answer any questions we had. Also we would never pre buy our tickets on line again after the experience we had picking them at up the casino on Mcphillips. We waited in line for over half an hour because they were having a problem printing them up; which left us in a panic because it says on the tickets that you must be on time. However I'm not sure why there is a set time that you have to be there with pre bought tickets when you wonder through the place on your own leisure and take all the time you want. However overall we thoroughly enjoyed it and recommended it to everyone we know.

  • Simply amazing

by papabeetle on 2010-12-13MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

As retired folks (nurse and teacher), we were simply amazed at the bodies exhibit. It provided an excellent review of what we studied in training and practiced on the job. We have since recommended this exhibition to a number of friends, both young and old. Several medical students were viewing the show at the same time as us, and they were getting a wonderful review of their texts and labs. The display is not to be missed!!

  • Ok

by AmandaAlex on 2010-12-13MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

The exhibit was ok. It was very neat, but if it would have been more interactive I would have enjoyed it more. It was a little repetitive, and some stuff looked very fake. For a learning experience though, it was great. Will reccommend to friends.

  • Bodies was Absolutely Fascinating

  • Educational and fascinating!

by fancypants88 on 2010-12-11MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Bodies exhibit was great! Very educational and it kept your attention the whole time. I suggest the audio tour, as it gave you a little more information. The amount of information you learn about your body is almost endless. The way they have the exhibits set up is great! You easily spend 2 hours in there with out realizing it. No cameras allowed.

I was amazed at the complexity of our bodies & realize there was a mastermind behind everything - God. For me, It so points to creation. How fascinating.

  • Bodies, The Exhibition

by Janbee on 2010-12-09MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

There were four of us who experienced this event and all came away with pretty much the same opinion. We thought it was well organized, the layout of the exhibits made it easy to move from one to another; the subdued lighting showcased each encased exhibit well and made for easy reading and viewing. The upright human exhibits allowed close inspection of the skeleton with the various body parts in their actual locations. The information charts by the body exhibits explained each in detail. The audio (rented for $5 ea.) augmented the chart information and provided additional interesting facts. We were fascinated and intrigued with the human body in its different forms and marveled at the complexity of the human body. The opportunity to handle three human body parts (heart, brain, scapula) and a baboon brain was particularly fascinating. The attendant described the workings of the parts and knowledgeably answered our questions. We were surprised to see the difference in size of the baboon brain in comparison to the human brain. All in all, we would definitely recommend this to anyone. As we did, we're sure that each person will walk away with a renewed sense of awe at the human body and a little more familiar with its many complex functions. Well worth the money.

  • Very interesting

by LongRun23 on 2010-12-08MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

The exhibition was very interesting. if you are a nurse, doctor or med student it is a don't miss event. A map and layout of the site to follow would have been a "nice to have" item.

The realness of the displays gave you a great idea of what the human body looks like underneath the skin. A great educational event and should be a must see for high school science classes!

The exhibit was tastefully done and was extremely informative and interesting. My wife and I enjoyed it very much.

If I had the chance to go back and see it again, I wouldn't. Not because it was bad, I do give it 4 stars. I just couldn't keep my stomach from being clenched. It's kind of like a train wreck. You don't want to look but you can't help it.

  • Bodies is awesome

by Myshoe on 2010-11-23MTS Centre Exhibit Hall - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Loved this exhibition. One suggestion - turn up the lights - some parts of exhibition are way too dark. Downtown is a bad choice for this. As soon as I got out of my car, I was approached by a panhandler. i never go downtown, but made an exception for this show. Also, it would be nice to know how old the bodies are in the exhibition - just for curiousity sake. Thanks
