About

Boys Like Girls are a pop-rock band that formed in 2005. The quartet skyrocketed up the charts with anthemic singles like “The Great Escape” and “Love Drunk,” with the latter’s accompanying music video featuring High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. Their two breakthrough singles were followed by a sweeping emo-tinged ballad featuring Taylor Swift, “Two Is Better Than One,” which helped the band’s second album (2009’s Love Drunk) land in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, the band’s frontman Martin Johnson began writing/producing music for everyone from blink-182 to Avril Lavigne, leading to Boys Like Girls going on hiatus (reforming sporadically to tour between 2016 and 2020). In May 2023, the band released “Blood and Sugar,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album and their first new song in over a decade.

All time Low, Boys <3 girls, & FTSK Made my life<3

by Aura on 2010-06-17Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

FTSK set the stage, and All time Low Blew us away. They broke the rules, made use smile, and took the stage by storm. They really made the show. lastly Boys like Girls did an amazing acoustic performance as well as rocked out with all of us. I am not forgetting Good Charlotte, LMFAO or any other bands that played but these three bands really made my night. Me and My sister loved it.

    So unexspected

by Ks2am on 2010-06-17Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

The selections of band were amazing, had a good variety in tones and personalities. The fact that there was opportunities offered by american express to meet bands and that Forever the Sickest Kids played acustic in the lounge was just pure awsomeness. Then the spontaneous (well to us at least) of the lead singer of All Time Low letting the crowds in the seated sections come down to the mosh pit area was AMAZING!! the lights and pyrotechnics type of stuff was out of this world. The bands were actually awsome live as well which played a large part. BAMBOOZAL ROCKED MY NIGHT

    American music comes to Canada

by pinkbike on 2010-06-17Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

The Bamboozle Roadshow was a great oppotunity to see some older and newer american pop and punk bands under one roof. Some of them have opened for our bigger Canadian healiners (Boys Like Girls for Hedley), and maybe some will in the future (Forever the Sickest Kids for ?These Kids Wear Crowns- just hoping!). Fabulous to see them and All Time Low and some older bands such as Good Charlotte and Third Eye Blind. Too bad attendence was low- thats what you get when you book this during high school exam week! My favorite: Boys Like Girls.

    Amazing.

by d4n13ll4 on 2010-06-17Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

All the bands put on an AMAZING performance. Two that stood out in my mind the best was LMFAO and All Time Low. LMFAO had the audience entertained from start to finish, and had everyone dancing. All Time Low just blew me away, the venue was huge but they got everyone to run down to the front and it became an intimate performance. To me those boys stole the show, this was their night.

    Best Performers Around!!!

by cadi on 2010-01-11Kool Haus - Toronto

These guys made for a great live show. Not only do they love their music, but they want you to as well so they put on a show u wont forget. these guys rocked the Kool Haus!!!! The crowd loved what these guys threw at them (litterally and metaphoricly). it was deadly hot in the building but no one cared as we danced and sang to every song. Definatly a band you want to see live. the energy they have while on stage is amazing! and to top it off Martin Crowd surfed at the end of the show where he then proceeded to stay in the crowd and sign stuff for everyone. It was great and would go back again and a again.

    Amazing Show!

by Anonymous on 2009-12-06Kool Haus - Toronto

As far as the bands playing, it was AMAZING! I will never ever forget it. As far as organizing the event, I have to say it was pretty bad. I had early entry and we got in like 5-10 minutes before first band playing, and it was suppose to be way earlier. They also let in BLG meet and greet in first, which I'm pretty sure the guy said he wasnt really suppose to do that. That part sucked. So, first band who played was VersaEmerge, and they were amazing. The crowd was already PACKED and you couldn't move . Like always when bands like this play at Kool Haus. Then A Rocket To The Moon played. They were supper fun and play many new songs. Got the crowd really pumped! The is an update video on their myspace from the show (Update 16) and even Nick Santinosaid himself. "Wow, you guys are really packed in here" Then The Maine play. As always they were REALLY fun and got everyone jumping. They were amazing live and had fun with the crowd by making jokes and talking to us. As well as bring up 2 guys from the crowd to sing Girls Do What They Want. I'm sure you'll find out some of the funny things John said during the show on youtube! Then Cobra Starship played. Man, do they ever get the crowd going. Everyone was singing along, obviously having the time of their life. The the main act: Boys Like Girls! They aswell can get the crowd going really well. And getting the crowd involved by getting them up on stage! As well as their suprise encore and which Martin did a flip into the crow! Through all the pushing falling and sweaty-ness I had one amazing time! In every bands set everyone that new the lyrics were singing their hearts out! AMAZING show! Good job OP !

I actually went to the concert to see Cobra Starship, one of the opening bands (who were amazing, fyi) and was very impressed with Boys Like Girls. They put on an excellent performance, and sounded great. My one complaint about this show was actually the crowd... Many many younger children/tweens who were incredibly immature and felt that extreme pushing and violence was a fun activity to engage in during the downtime between bands. I got incredibly bruised, hair pulled, etc. Other than that, awesome show! I was also very impressed by the band's treatment of fans. They allowed fans from the crowd to come up on stage with them, and the lead vocalist actually posed for pictures with fans while singing. He also jumped out into the crowd and spent a fair amount of time meeting fans and takign pictures with them. I think that was a really awesome thing for him to have done, and I really respect that.

    Cobra Starship was amazing.

by DirtyCash on 2009-11-19Kool Haus - Toronto

I can't say anything about Boys Like Girls as I left before their set, but Cobra Starship was amazing. They sounded even better than they do on the CD and really knew how to get the crowd going. Gabe Saporta is a born frontman. On that note, so is John' O from The Maine. He was also crazy energetic and got the crowd going. Also did an awesome Def Leppard cover. Although I'd never heard much from them or A Rocket to the Moon, both bands were really good and it didn't feel like I was waiting on them to be done. In fact, I went and checked out both bands' music afterwards. Can't say anything for Versa Emerge as I was still in the line outside in the time they went on and finished.

    waste of money

by sdklfhas on 2009-11-17Kool Haus - Toronto

All bands put on a great show, but I would not recommend purchasing a meet and greet for this band again. It was not much of a meet and greet but an extra $50 on top of the ticket price for a photo and signed poster which was 'signed by the band before the show'

    too many bands

    by ror14 on 2009-11-17Kool Haus - Toronto

The show was good, too many bands though. Didn't understand why cobrastarship was after the maine, and i also hated the fact they played 5 songs and one which was'nt theirs. It's too bad you pay all that money to go see your favourite bands and they don't even want to play their music for you. Just felt like the whole time the concert was rushed and the guys wanted to go home or back to the tour buses to finish their beer. pretty sad when you think of the bands from my fathers era, and also how Brandnew plays 3 hour acoustic sets and we didn't even get one hour. 5 bands to many, might recommend seeing these guys play if it was boyslikegirls, the maine, and a rocket to the moon. but i dont and well it was not that great of a concert, oh well can't ask too much from these guys.

Boys Like Girls Never Fails To Impress

by heatherlikesboys on 2009-11-16Kool Haus - Toronto

This was my third time seeing these guys in concert, and I can honestly say they just get better and better each time. Also, the other bands they played with (Versa Emerge, A Rocket To the Moon, Cobra Starship, and The Maine) were all amazing as well. Such an unforgettable night!
