    Spectacular!

by Prince Violent on 2024-01-17Meridian Hall - Toronto

Such a treat to be able to see Looney Tunes (almost) as they were intended. The live orchestra was amazing and the new shorts created just for this event were a nice surprise - on par to the quality you'd expect from Warner Bros. shorts. Must see!

A wonderful experience for the whole family.

    by BB49 on 2024-01-17Meridian Hall - Toronto

13 years ago we took our then 3 year old grand-daughter to see and hear the Bugs Bunny at the Symphony show. This time around, we decided it was well worth the trip downtown on a snowy day with two grandchildren - now 15 and 12. I had introduced them to the cartoon classics when they were tiny toddlers - more for the music and the blend of silly and brilliant ideas worked into the episodes. So it was a wonderful treat to hear a live performance. What was very noticeable was that there were more adults than children attending the performance..... perhaps the adults were keen on reliving their childhood experiences. As well, the current generation of children may not be able to relate to the great cartoon classics. The orchestra (FilmHarmonics) and the Conductor were outstanding. Thanks for making these well polished gems available for all to enjoy.

    Excellent!

by Monica on 2024-01-16Meridian Hall - Toronto

We have been talking about going to this for 30 years and finally got to it on what happened to be their 30th anniversary. It didn’t disappoint at all. It was exactly what we hoped it would be and more. The pieces they showed were flashbacks to childhood and the FILMharmonic Orchestra was outstanding, perfect! The conductor was spot on and a great speaker/host. Extremely likeable with an actual personality. Highly recommend this!

Great time, highly recommend. The music was great, along with the stories the conductor tells about the process of performing, history of production, etc. Also, great new clips added. Enjoy!

    Perfectly entertaining!

by TLynde on 2024-01-15Meridian Hall - Toronto

We loved this show and will definitely watch for it to return so we can return and share the experience with others. Great performance that entertained all ages with music, humour and history. The synchronization of the orchestra to the cartoons was flawless, the music was high quality and the conductor was wonderful. It made us feel happy from beginning to end.

    Very Nostalgic

by CAB on 2024-01-15Meridian Hall - Toronto

I was in the 2nd last row, centre area, and this didn’t impact the evening at all! The quality of the musicians, the friendliness of the Conductor, the animation, as well as the 5 new releases rounded out the night. The tidbits of info I gained about the origin of Bugs Bunny, the Classical composers and what vision the animators, directors and creators had gave my love of these beloved childhood characters I grew on on more depth. I would go back and see this again! That’s all folks!
