Very well organized right from the start. Show was incredible and perfectly timed. So well done at times I forgot the music was choir was actually being played live.
My daughter and I enjoyed the performance very much! We had been looking forward to going all week and we were not disappointed in the least!
Beauty & the Beast is one of those timeless feature films of which one never tires. We tend to forget the impact of the music scores that are so much a part of the magic. With the presence of a complete philharmonic orchestra on stage in front of the huge screen, the experience is heightened & enhanced to a very special level.
It is an unbelievable experience to watch a classic movie and have the orchestra playing for you! I know that there were lots of parts of the movie I didn't see because I was watching the orchestra. Took my 3 year old and he was mesmerized!
Spent a delightful afternoon with daughter & precious grand-daughters. Enjoyed the screening of "Beauty & the Beast" but especially the superior quality orchestral accompaniment. Thank-you CPO!

I was really looking forward to the Calgary Philharmonic’s performance, and they were just wonderful. Hearing live music accompany the film was sheer delight. I am eager to see and hear future performances!
I love beauty and the beast, orchestra was amazing. But unfortunately felt they were in the background instead of the main act? The movie was too loud drowning out the live music, without and dramatic or a moment to call my favorite. For almost 100$ per ticket. Wasn’t worth it.
Great step introducing little ones to philharmonic concert
The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra was truly amazing. They played non stop throughout the movie with great precision.
Amazing orchestra + my favourite Disney animation made the evening unforgettable. Me and my friend were singing the tunes for couple of more days.
This is truly an amazing and talented orchestra. I had never experienced anything like this before and I strongly urge other young people to spend a night at the orchestra! We had some drinks, hung out and it was not at all "hoity toity". I'm definitely coming back!
In a nutshell, awful! The music was decent, if one could hear it behind the incessant blabbering of the performers on stage (what's up with the pj's?). For the most part, it was hard to follow the story line (imagine that about a classic!). Their presence on stage was unnecessary and distracting. My kids were confused about what was going on, and so was I, frankly. This version of Red Riding Hood is hardly appropriate for kids, in my opinion (what happened to Granny, by the way?). Strange outfit for Red Riding Hood... The show was not even an hour long, normally I would think it was a rip-off, considering the price of the tickets, but in this case, I was relieved. I have more tickets for this season's Sunday Symphony for Kids, I sincerely hope none of performances are like this one. We have had great experiences in the past, and we were really looking forward to this one too, unfortunately, it was an unexpected disappointment. In my opinion, they should have stuck with the classic version of the story, preferably silent (for the most part, anyway) and let the audience hear the music, really...
