Calgary Roughnecks History
The Calgary Roughnecks are members of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). After debuting in 2002, the Roughnecks qualified for the postseason in 13 consecutive years until 2016. The team has appeared in four NLL Cup championship games, winning three between 2004, 2009 and 2019. The Roughnecks also secured five Division titles before the elimination of conferences ahead of the 2023–2024 season. Over the years, the Calgary Roughnecks’ roster has fielded four Hall of Famers, five Most Valuable Players, three Transition Players of the Year and two Rookies of the Year and Goaltenders of the Year apiece.

Calgary Roughnecks at Scotiabank Saddledome
The Roughnecks and the Riggers fanbase have packed downtown Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome since 2001. The Scotiabank Saddledome opened in 1983 and currently seats over 19,000 fans. Across the NLL, the Saddledome has hosted the 2005 All-Star Game and four NLL championship games, with the Roughnecks hoisting the NLL Cup in front of a hometown crowd in 2004, 2009 and 2019.

It was my 3rd time seeing the calgary roughnecks and it is a party in there I loved the pajama party had a amazing view in section 104 row 3 had a great time with my friend can’t wait to see them again and amazing muisc
I had never been to a lacrosse game before now. The game was fun and fast paced. The seating at the Saddledome wasn't great but hopefully they improve that in the new arena.
I’ve been to my fair share of sports events. Hockey, baseball, swimming, bowling etc. But I can without a doubt say that lacrosse specifically the Roughnecks are my favourite. It’s a fast paced game that’s constantly moving so get ready to be focused haha. The goals make it even better with a surprise after the goal that you’ll have to attend to see. Apart from that with so much good I have one complaint: I get notifications from my watch saying it’s at 80 decibels quite a bit lol. All in all you haven’t lived if you have been to a roughnecks game. Go roughnecks go!!
Haven’t been in years to watch the Roughnecks but plan on coming back again soon! So much action!!

First time seeing the Roughnecks.... Absolutely loved it all... Definitely going again in a few weeks.
The atmosphere was awesome as usual Won or lose never a bad experience in the roughhouse
Roughnecks/Lacrosse is the best value for your sports dollar bar none. The seats directly behind the players bench are a unique experience but wouldnt ever do it again, as it limits the view of the field quite a lot. Overall, cant get enough Lacrosse.
Except there was a drunk guy arguing with security about whether or not he had too much to drink. Took 3 security guards and 4 police officers to convince him to leave.
This was my second time watching the roughnecks and the entertainment was amazing the music was so good it’s a lot of fun I will see them again in the lower bowl and they won
We love going to the Roughnecks games. Brought my 85 year old mom as she's a huge fan. Way to go on beating the Rush!
This was my first roughnecks and it was confusing but a lot of good music a lot of entertaining but I had fun I will go again

Everything about the day was good except trying to purchase the tickets on Ticketmaster site which was extremely difficult.
The Roughnecks game was great. Continuous back and forth action, lots of energy in the arena and very close and exciting game. Loads of fun and the home team won.
Such a great time. We have an 8 yr Old and he absolutely loved it. So did I. Great atmosphere. Never a dull moment.
Roughneck games are just fun for the whole family. Its fast pace and party atmosphere is awesome. Highly recommend
Roughnecks are awesome and played a great game against Halifax. Fast pace rough and tough play. Love it ... Would encourage everyone to get on board and attend a game. The announcer is beyond fantastic and keeps everyone involved in the game. Crazy time. Sarge
