Calgary Roughnecks History
The Calgary Roughnecks are members of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). After debuting in 2002, the Roughnecks qualified for the postseason in 13 consecutive years until 2016. The team has appeared in four NLL Cup championship games, winning three between 2004, 2009 and 2019. The Roughnecks also secured five Division titles before the elimination of conferences ahead of the 2023–2024 season. Over the years, the Calgary Roughnecks’ roster has fielded four Hall of Famers, five Most Valuable Players, three Transition Players of the Year and two Rookies of the Year and Goaltenders of the Year apiece.

Calgary Roughnecks at Scotiabank Saddledome
The Roughnecks and the Riggers fanbase have packed downtown Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome since 2001. The Scotiabank Saddledome opened in 1983 and currently seats over 19,000 fans. Across the NLL, the Saddledome has hosted the 2005 All-Star Game and four NLL championship games, with the Roughnecks hoisting the NLL Cup in front of a hometown crowd in 2004, 2009 and 2019.

I'm not a fan of internet tickets as but for my eldest son having cell phone we wouldn't have been able to go. It's definitely a barrier to attending future events.

The entertainment value for surpasses the cost of the ticket. For a fun, energetic, interactive event with your spouse, friends, family, etc we suggest taking in a Roughnecks game. Not only is the game entertaining to watch but the announcer keeps the crowd going strong all evening. Many chances to stand up and cheer and do the "Vaminos" Dance. Follow the Roughnecks on their APP! The Saddledome is clean, easy to navigate and they have an APP that allows you to order food, drinks and merchandise to be delivered right to your seat, or preorder and skip the order line.

I have NEVER been a sports fan of any sport until I discovered NLL and the Roughnecks. I can’t wait for the new season and I will be one of the first people to buy season tickets. I LOVE the Roughnecks

by grumpy on 2023-05-23Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryExciting game but in spite of row 3 seats had to wotch other end action on the scoreboard The seating diagram showed our five row 3 goal line seats being close to the side boards but inside so expected all should be able to see down to the other end. Actually only the innermost seat could see down to the other end and the other 4 had very poor visibility to the other end

All it took was the opening for me to realize what fun these games are. Fast paced, intense, great players, best fans I've ever seen and the most fun goal celebration I've ever seen. These games are more than worth the 4 hour drive to Calgary
