The opera was great for what I saw. However, I showed up at the wrong Meridian Theatre first. Perhaps Meridian shouldn't sponsor two different theatres, both on Yonge St., 45 minutes apart. I'm sure I'm not the first to have made such a mistake.
The Nightingale of a thousand songs was beautifully brought to life by the children of the CCOC. It took me through the mountains and into the hearts of the Armenian people!

The staging, orchestra and performers were all superb! Very moving story and presentation. In awe of the talent on display. Looking forward to the next presentation.
I have had the opportunity to experience the Canadian Children's Opera Company performances on a few occasions, the most recent one being The Nightingale of a Thousand Songs. Absolutely amazing. What an opportunity for youngsters to develop their performance skills and be immersed in the magical world of opera. A stage full of talent and never a dull moment. These singers are an inspiration to us all. Hats off!
