I’m not much of a country fan - I bought the tickets for a friend who loves it. I didn’t know any of the younger performers, but I did enjoy Terrie Clark and Keith Urban. I was disappointed not to see more of Shania. Overall, a good show. B.
Loved the show. Had the privilege of being on red carpet. Songs performed were amazing. Shania was fabulous. Looking forward to 2020.
The show was absolutely great! The presenters, the performers, the music, the whole show was fabulous. Keith Urban is brilliant, loved that he performed. I will attend the show again in 2020!!
A night of great fun, top entertainment, and great music. I am so proud to be Canadian.
I gifted these tickets to my daughter for Mothers day. She took a friend with her. They had a fabulous time
What a great show. We were on 3rd balcony, but they asked if we wanted to go to the floor. So we did, but I'm short and couldn't see hardly at all. Had to watch in the screen. The screen wasn't the greatest of quality. But otherwise it was fun.
Its was an amazing show. Had alot if fun and will go again when the ccma returnes in 2020.
First of all, it was a total let down that the pre-awards outdoor concert was cancelled due to the windy conditions..Besides that, the outdoor red carpet event was moved to the basement of the First Ontario Centre and only the first 300 fans could get in.. My boyfriend and I waited in the cold for 2 hours alongside many others to enter the arena to find the event held in quite a small, unglamorous space which was so packed with people we could only catch glimpses of the stars. Perhaps it was set up last minute due to the inclement weather & the organizers did the best they could.. What they can do in future is to have a platform for the stars to go on, so that the lucky 300 people in there could see the celebrities and take pictures of them..As for the show itself, there were too many commercial breaks ...and it ended one hour too early! Also didn't care for the fact that lots of people in the 'nosebleeds' sections were asked to move down to the floor close to the stages to make the show look full and good on TV. They actually ended up with better views than my boyfriend and I who paid more for our seats in the 114 section....:(
Shania was terrible and she never sang. They never used the stage for the presenter or the winners. They were in the crowd and you could bare see them. I thought it was cheezy. It cost me $18.0 for a fry and a tall boy. Not empressed when people bleed people oh yea 30 for parking when it was 5 the day before. Im glad i didnt pay any more
I had the BEST night- the show was great and meeting Keith Urban and some of the other greats on the red carpet - Shania, Terry- made it a very memorable night. A great night celebrating country music!
A show that I will remember for a life time as we saw so many music stars.
Like the show but the service at First Ontario was not that great.
This show was overpriced for the amount of music provided. It was nice to see the stars both Cdn. + Keith Urban at play but Shania didn't even sing a full song. The commercial breaks with some character coming out telling us how to act was a let down. Will watch on TV rather than spend $100 for that next year.
Oh Boy, where to begin- the opening fell flat with the other artists performing Shania's songs. Sorry Shania but your words did not sound sincere. And it is BRETT Kissel NOT KETT Kissel (or what ever the hell you called him).I was disappointed that the main stage was not used for the awards acceptance. I realize this was all for TV and knowing what I know now, I would have wanted different seats so I would not be looking at the performers backs most of the night. And as for CANADIAN content...... why why why was it Keith Urban presenting Terry's award? Another proud Canadian should have done this. 'I Walk the Line' is very recognizable but so are many songs performed by CANADIAN artists. The finale song should have been CANADIAN. CCMA - CANADIAN Country Music Awards. Come On! Step up and be CANADIAN!!!!!
I thought the show was great. Things moved along very quickly ( no long speeches). Lots of great music and a couple of great surprises. Kieth Urban and Serena Ryder are two of my favorites and of course Shania Twain did a fabulous job hosting. It’s great to see all our Canadian artists performing in one show. Will go again in 2020 when it is held in Hamilton
It was great to see all that talent and see how a live show comes together but if I am being honest, we would not have been there if Shania Twain had not been hosting. She is Still the One. The highlight would have been the red carpet but my son and I arrived late and missed the whole thing. Apparently it was excellent. Really bummed we missed it !!
We were lucky enough to attend the CCMA awards show live broadcast this year. It was an amazing night and 3rd row seats meant we were right in the action and were able to really experience the show. It was a fantastic night and the artists were amazing.
First time for CCMA's live was London ON in 2016. Live TV broadcast and concert goers were entertained during commercial breaks by local radio personalities and kept engaged throughout the show. CCMA's in Hamilton was a different story. If you weren't on the floor or first rows, you missed so much. Most of the awards were presented on the floor not the stage, some awards presented on the stage had the presenter's with their backs to the audience. The only person to address the live audience was a stage director. This show catered to the TV audience, and overlooked the people that paid good money to be there in person. Next time I will stay home and watch it on TV.
Great talent, amazing performances, very well done I was very disappointed that during breaks, commercial etc, the music playing was from American artists (who I love), but we should have been promoting the Canadian talent
The show was great except for seeing the presenters and award winners. They were too!!!!! low in the crowd on the floor!!!! Yes you could see them on the screen but that is not why I paid to go to watch a screen. I might as well stayed home. I would strongly suggest the presenters and award winners be on a raised platform for each award. Then all your paying customers to the event have a better chance at seeing the award part!
