CFR is an excellent family event . This was the first year I ever took my son to it and we quite enjoyed it. Glad to see it is staying in Edmonton for a couple more years at least. Definitely going to go next year!!!
As usual we really enjoyed this performance. Very entertaining. Moves along quickly, pick up men are good at their job. Sometimes the announcers were a little hard to hear - the sound was muffled for some reason but can get all the scores, name of who is performing, etc. off the Jumbotron. There isn't an intermission so make sure you use the washroom before it starts if you don't want to miss any of the action. Crash Cooper was funny as usual. Overall got good entertainment for the money we paid.
This weekend was my first time attending the CFR and it was a great spectacle. I hope it can stay in Edmonton.
The Rodeo and Farm Fair were excellent. My two sons and I had a lot of fun.
I attended with my husband. We enjoy the Heritage Ranch Rodeo more than the pro rodeo. The events are typical of ranch work.
Seats gave us a great vantage point of both ends of the arena. We enjoyed all of the events. Bathrooms were a little hard to find on the second floor though and the escalator signage could be improved. One person with us walks with a cane but no escalator options were offered by staff. We found it ourselves on the way out though so all was well. The rodeo itself moved quickly with little downtime. Announcer was easy to understand. Not a bad seat in the house.
This is a must see event at CFR and Farm Fair every year. We were treated to some spectacular rodeo. But, what happened in the Tie Down - a great time from an early rider put a lot of pressure on those who followed and a lot of mistakes. The Barrel Racing is one of my favourites and great to watch. Farm Fair was time for Christmas shopping and then round the evening off with a great after show concert too - a great day out. Glad to hear CFR is back in Edmonton next year - Northlands and the Coliseum are just a perfect venue for the whole event. I only wish I could take in more of the events with some of the seminars. Maybe next year!!
My family and I have been going to the CFR for many yrs. Sure hope Edmonton can keep this event for another 30+ years!!!
We go to all 6 events, It's a great long weekend. The camera crew were not working well with the announcers this year at all, the announcer would say we will show you on the replay, and could not show the fans. also we missed the food choices available in other years. Mostly we missed the large TVs on the concourse and near the bar so that you didn't miss anything. It has been run better in previous years
Very well done event! The performance is will organized, top notch athletes and an absolutely beautiful tribute to the military on Nov 11th. The CFR is a must see in Edmonton #CFR43
The rodeo was awesome, i took my best friend to this event and she loved it. She said i was the only guy that has ever takin her to the Canadian finals Rodeo. I was so happy to make her day come true. She just loves being around the horses.
This was a great night out. Went for my moms birthday. I feel completely ripped off having to pay $20 for parking and Northlands should be ashamed of themselves for charging that much when you are already paying to go there.
Rodeo is our legacy and this year it was yet another phenomenal event! The CFR is a foundational undertaking that is part of Edmonton's culture and heritage! Keep it here! The biggest PROBLEM was that Rexall Place had their air conditioning on all night, making it extremely cold and super uncomfortable to endure the length of the show. That really sucked - but the show itself was damned AWESOME!
Best 2.5 hours I've had in Rexall in a long time! Tickets to Farmfair were included with the CFR tickets so access to the EXPO centre was also provided allowing the chance to see some of the animals up close.
CFR was a great experience. The international farm fair had many things to see. I just wish the cattle an horse parts were still showing on Sunday.
As always a great performance. the stock were great and the cowboys/cowgirls,pick up riders entertainer and bullfighters were consummate pros
It was an excellent night at the rodeo. the rodeo is always good but the food is very expensive and you can't take your own.
Saturday was a fun filled program with lots to keep young and old engaged. Our young granddaughter watched all events but especially enjoyed the children centered events. It was a first indoor rodeo for our son and daughter-in-law. They were impressed with the expertise of the cowboys and the quality of the rodeo stock plus how efficiently and smoothly the program ran.My husband and I had attended events earlier in the week so were happy to see our favourites doing well in their events.
A great year at the rodeo. I had a really great time, but I wish there was a cabaret that you didn't have to pay for separately. This is my favorite event to see at Rexall.
Great performances. Amazing stock and participants. Opening acts were fantastic. With the Mini Pack we saw 3 rodeos in 2 days and spent the rest of the time at Farmfair which we had free passes to with our mini pack. Lots to see, do, eat and drink. Great weekend.
