    Carol King/ James Taylor

by GandB on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

My inspiration to become a vocal artist was created by James Taylors voice. To have a chance and see these two artists live, was a once in a life time moment for me and wasn't disapointed. When he started singing I was reduced to tears, so many emotions were coming out. The sound and experiance took me back to the seventies and this was acheived by bringing the whole original band back together including back up vocals. Truley an amazing concert and one not to miss.

    Once in a lifetime!

by AffolterFinancial on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This is an opportunity to see two of the most formative, iconic musicians from the 1970s emergence of the "gentler side of rock". All of their most well-known works, sung by a combo rarely seen together outside of a studio... or the Troubadour! Even their band was made up of legends. A MUST SEE!!

    Dont miss this show!

by Durd on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

These guys still have it. Great showmanship coupled with musical ability. James’s voice is as powerful and pure as when he was young. They have surrounded themselves with professionals, many of whom they have played with for many years. It is clear they love what they are doing and enjoy sharing this time with the audience.

James Taylor and Carole King Icons that Last

by ABCSJC on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This concert was amazing and beyond what I expected. And I am under 40. These 2 ICONS brought the house down. As an audience we could not have asked for more. To the current entertainers out there that think they are all that. We shall see if you are still doing so well 40 years from now. If you want to be you will need to work as hard as these 2. Thanks so much for an awesome performance and a truly unforgettable night.

Sweet Memeorioes brought back ALIVE Today!

by TJD1 on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The Troubador concept was broguht back, yet with 20,000 people able to feel it. The band was tight! The songs were all familair and loved! And the voices were still sweet and magical (especially James). It was a respectful audience that wanted to listen to each song and each word, but they all tapped their feet in rythym with the music such that on each down beat THE WHOLE STANDS moved up and down with that rythym. The end of each song brough deafening applause and screams and atleast 20 standing ovations in the night! The rotating stage and the flat screens provided all you needed to see and entertain you, even though this was just a band playing...no dancers, no wild GA GA costumes, not even an opeining act...just James and Carol. It was memeorable in its simplicity and yet got the demographic of 40-70 year olds up and clapping and stompong and tapping, even the 30 or so I saw with walkers and canes. Well worht it! The ACC did good here to get them for their only Canadian stop.

Troubadour Reunion is Not to be Missed!

by JoAline on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

James Taylor and Carole King did not disappoint. Both seasoned performers delivered a solid performance, especially in the second half of the show. I honestly can't tell which of the two I enjoyed more. They played all of the fan favourites. What a treat to learn that the original musicians from the early days were there as well!

    Carole King/James Taylor - heartwarming

by sippy on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This concert brought me back to my teenage years. It was intimate, comfortable, funny, sad, relaxing. Great to go to a concert and hear the words. At end end of one song, I realized that tears were streaming down my face. That's powerful stuff. My husband wasn't a fan (it was my birthday present) but he said it was one of the best concerts he has ever been to. Bring them back. I would definitely go again. Who doesn't want to feel 18 again???

    Carole King/James Taylor

by Ladydi6185 on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

One of the best concerts I have been to. I loved the revolving stage, everyone got a good view of what was going on. James Taylor sounded absolutely amazing. Carole King had a bit of a cold or laringitis so she wasn't at her peak form.

Have to tell you. We have seen many converts over the past thirty years. The energy that Carol King and James Taylor had on stage was electrifying. The sound system in the Air Canada Centre was the best ever heard.

    What memories are made of..............

by tuitui on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

A sublime evening filled with old favourites and some long forgotten gems! The band cooked all night and, while Carole's voice was a little rough, both she and James delivered on every number.

It was an amazing evening!! Carole Kings voice did not have the same range, however, the show was still awesome!! It was a treat to hear songs from the classic Tapestry album. I still remembered the words to her songs & it brought back fond memories!! James Taylor is a natural performer, and his voice is still crisp & clear!! Together, they are a dynamite duo!! I've only been to a handful of concerts throughout the years & wouldn't have missed this one!! I rate their performace as a 5 star ++

    Fabulous!!

by Wensu on 2010-05-31Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Fabulous. James is awesome and sounds just like he did in the 70's. Carole too, although somewhat strained in her delivery. Like she said, she seemed to be having trouble with her voice. However, I can't imagine the demands of their tour and the associated fatigue. I would see them over and over again. Brought me back to my teenage and early adult years listening and singing along to every song on their records. I remembered every word as I think everyone in the ACC did who grew up during that time. Bravo!!! An experience that will always be with me. They are engaging and wonderful people who have brought warmth and gentleness into this world through their songs.

It was amazing to see James Taylor and Carole King this weekend. Although they were far away from my seat it felt like they were in my living room. I loved their stories and especially seeing the warmth they obviously have for each other. And even though Carole's voice was hoarse, it made me love her more to know she was still out there giving it her all. She especially, radiated her warmth to all of us. And James? well that voice of pure velvet red wine goes down easier and easier every year. I swear he sings better with age!!

I love Carole King and James Taylor even more after seeing the Troubadour Reunion. They both just keep getting better and better. Thanks for being such a trouper and singing your heart out even though you weren't at 100% Carole.
