Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Dean Brody were amazing live. I would most definitely see them in concert again! I think it may have been even better if carolyn dawn johnson sang some of her older songs along with newer ones because i was unfamiliar with her newer ones but besides that it was a phenomenal show they put on!!
we enjoyed the older songs that were familiar BUT the newer ones seem to have louder music which over powered her voice. CDJ has an amazing voice, great to know that she is back on the music scene.
Carolyn Dawn Johnson has such an amazing voice, and it was ten times better live. Getting to meet her after was such a treat, she is as nice in person as you can imagine. Will definitely catch her next Winnipeg show!

Both the opening act and Carolyn were awsome. I liked the church venue for the most part except that the vibe got a little bit lost because of the venue. But the sound was great and being able to get Autographs after was wonderful.
Carolyn Dawn Johnson is a favourite of mine for her meaningful, emotional lyrics, her girl-next-door good looks and her soaring vocals. (Never mind that she's a "local" girl!) Given that this was only her fourth show following a several-year hiatus there were a few barely noticeable slips but overall it was a memorable experience. She connects with her audience in a very open and friendly manner and her smile is radiant. Something that really sets her show apart from others I've seen recently is that there are no gratuitious, interminable instrumental solos, for which I am eternally grateful. Chad Brownlee's very pleasing baritone provided the lead-in but the set was ballad-heavy. I know we'll be seeing more of him. A word about the venue: I love the Arden Theatre. There isn't a bad seat in the house, the acoustics are phenomenal and the ambiance is so superior to any arena that I wish every concert I attend could be there. It attracts a more courteous and respectful audience than Rexall Place and ticket prices are significantly more affordable. I introduced my younger sister to both CDJ and Chad Brownlee. She was eager to attend just based on my assessment and the venue. We definitely didn't let her down.
It was fantastic to see and hear Carolyn once again in Calgary, live and on stage. This uber talented artist has not slowed down. Raising a family and back on the road. I hope to enjoy the gift of music from this artist in the years to come.
Concert was at Knox United Church with is a smaller venue. Perks, you get so much closer than you ever could at a stadium and really get to experience how talented the artist is because it's just guitars and microphones, no light show, special effects, etc. Downside, wooden pews will put your butt to sleep and you're not sure whether it's okay to get up and dance. CDJ's vocals are as awesome in person as on the radio. She is really talented. She sang songs from her new album, but pulled out the oldies that we could all sing along to. It was a great experience and sent us home looking up her tracks to purchase online because we wanted more. Another bonus to smaller venues - autographs are alot easier to get. Great concert!
Very nice music. Carolyn has such a great voice. Great venue so personal.
